That's pretty cool and it's great news. I also heard of our local dealer in Owen Sound, Ontario has received two red mustangs today. The dealership sent out RSVP invitations to me to view new ford products at a closed evening gathering to showcase the new ford five hundred, freestyle and the mustang. Needless to say I will be there with camera in tow next tuesday!!

Brock Ford in the Falls allowed me to test drive the snot out of one of the 05 GTs (auto)
Had a choice over the auto/standard, but didn't want to make an hiney outta myself yet

Let me just say, the thing hits 165km and feels like I'm doing about 100

went and test drove an 05 GT on sat (nov 13) - (redfire/IUP/dark charcoal/5-speed manual) - i was told to drive it like i stole it i was allowed to do a drag race like run thru 4 gears - thing pulls like an LS1 f-body, and i was allowed to do a burn out from a dead stop - "clutch to floor - car in first - traction control off - gas to floor - side step clutch" - went thru 3 gears burning rubber all the way - car is awsome - i want one - it would tide me over until i can get an 07 Cobra

No but seriously, where u from Mary.....I'm from Laval....by the way, are u driving the 'Stang this winter? Mine is now stored in my heated garage, i already miss driving it...The winter is gonna be long......but once in a while, i just back it up a bit, and start her up , then listen to the rumbling exhaust....what a thrill.....I must be...... :crazy:

I leave in Verdun, but I came from the "Bas-ST-Laurent"... came in Montreal for work years ago !
I really don't know how you can keep a car like that in your garage for the next months ! Wow... I'm impressed !!!!!!
I am so excited now, no way I would be able to store it for the winter !
I have bought good snow tires and I will try to be easy on the "pedale a gaz " !

 

WOW, what a change living over there, and then moving to Verdun! That in itself is quite an achievement! I'm impressed too!
Of course the waiting is long especially comes the month of March.....I'm like a little kid driving his bike for the first time after that long winter! Mary, will you have to leave your car parked on the street! I know there's not that much parking spaces over there....Just curiosity....Whenever you're in the neighbourhood of Laval, drop by and let me have a look at your 'Stang......
Probably will test drive one next week, my friend is a director at Circuit Mercury on Henri-Bourassa....He's got 3 already, and waiting on 10 more next week....

I have a parking lot in the back of my appartment... but may be during a big snow storm, I will left it on the street to avoid shovelling ! I hate that !!!!

As soons as I will have it I will post pic and if you want to see it, when I will pass by Laval (for shopping maybe), you will be able to see it... but not to drive it ! Hahahahaha !

I really thaught that you would let me drive it for real....You don't have to worry about that Mary, i did my share of burn outs when i were a delinquant...that was years ago....Just turned 38 last week....I just wanted to go ....let's say past 120 MPH, just to make sure it is handling oh right!
What is it that you do in life Mary? I'm a technician for ADT, a security services company...I get to travel all around Montréal, and i go to Verdun, once in a while.....What color did you order your car?

For the Gt, It will be back... and you now what... I have received an e-mail from my saleman today... My mustang is on the train !!!! left 2 days ago for Montreal !!!! I will probably have it next week !!!! That guy make my day !!!!

 

Man i wish it were me waiting for my car, but that's my decision, i'm taking my chance on waiting for a special edition, which hopefully will show up sometimes at the end of next year or winter 2006......If i don't hear of anything within 1 1/2 year, i will probably get a GT and modify it a bit....nothing serious, but for sure mags and tires.....of course i still think that it sits too high, so i would probably get lowering springs.....In the meantime i still have my show winner '88LX 5.0
I've been refusing offers for it for the last 4 years, since i finished rebuildind it, it's getting hard on me...I've been offered good money for it, but i'm not even sure that i will sell it even though i will be buying a SE....or GT.
Anyway's post your pics when you have it Mary, i've seen a black one on tuesday, and it really looks awasome...That's actually the color of my actual 'Stang.
