Due to popular demand, 13D Spoiler Delete will be offered in Canada on the '06 models.

Many of you "expressed" your disappointment (Galaxie being the LOUDEST) that this option was available in the U.S. but not here.

Peter Jansen at Ford took note and is adding the option on the '06 model.
It will only be available on the GT.
And still is not available on the '05.

It will be interesting to see how many will be ordered that way.

That's cool, it's too bad they couldn't make this an option *now*, as part of the 05 model year! Oh well. At least our complaining will allow others to enjoy a Mustang without the spolier!

I'm still undecided about switching to an '06. At this point I'm sticking with the '05.

Peter Janson is a very busy, very nice understanding person that listens to what is going on ( even here ) I say this from personal experience. After all this is a very big kitchen with too many cooks ! Everyone hang in there and be patient . :-)

Jansen is a great guy,

I don't know if I have it in me to wait until September for an '06 though :bang:

Sometimes Canadians get the short end of the stick when you look at option packages. Finally a little perk for all of us. I doubt many dealers will order the spoiler delete for stock, but I am sure there will get the guys who order the cars to pick some up.

Any idea on the take rate on the spoiler delete in the US?

Thank you Peter, unfortunately it is too late for me, as I ordered an "05...
I had even asked my dealer if we could do some kind of special order with Ford, to get my car without it, but no luck...
Oh well, I'm happy for the rest who will follow in '06, if they have black again, maybe I can swap trunk lids with someone?
Paul.

Same here even got my dealer to try the option code....which really stinks because it just limits you to what you can do to the rear of the car not very impressed with ford!!! but the rest of the car makes up for the crap spoiler they made us get!!!

The Xenon ducktail covers the factory spoiler mounting holes... I'm tempted!

In a way I'm happy and in another I,m not. We should have had the spoiler delete from the get -go. I'm happy we now have the choice. I'm disappointed because it cost me $400 to have mine removed, filled and repainted, plus I no longer have a locally unique vehicle. Anyway great news for us!!!!!!!

Thanks Ford.... But too late...
I did try everything to get the spoiler off the car when ordering, but it would have cost me $400~$500... so it stayed on...

Could also have done without the Shaker 500...

You can do without the Shaker 500 until you don't have the Shaker 500!
You sure would regret not ordering it if you had the base stereo with single CD.

Well, I guess I'll have to take a real long drive soon to take full advantage of those 6 CDs...

The sun is supposed to come out tomorrow,so its looking good for the weekend...

But I'm still pissed at the 10cents gas jump I woke up to this morning, now only 99,9 :notnice:

Yea right, the ONLY reason to take a long drive is to listen to the 6CDs!?

Turn off the stereo and you can listen to a much sweeter sound!

Back to square 1... I guess you've figured out why I could have done without the Shaker 500

In any case, I think it would be nice to have more options available in Canada.

I took my spoiler off the other day. I notice under the spoiler was a stamp "Made in Canada."

Maybe they didn't let you Canadians delete it since it is made up there. They want you guys to stimulate your own ecomony.

Another reason to keep it on.

Well... I figure I'll have to be the one to say that driving around with a spoiler is like making love with a rubber on...

...my personnal opinion here, YMMV

Some just like to live dangerously...
