1972 Sprint either a 302 or 351 my friend had the USA version.

 

Yes it's a 72, it did have a 302 according to the vin.

 

The Decal and paint are from the factory....
The Canadian decal was from a special edition that Pinto's and Mavericks could also have.

Your Friend had a Olympic sprint, Canada had it's own version much the same but with the Canadian flag on the quarter panel. Hard to find car today for sure

 

 

It would have looked like this one from the MCCNE show in RI. today. A club member owns this one.



This is a fast back and they were also produced as coupes and convertibles.

The Canadian one I have pictures from I saved from the Crusher. She's in very bad shape but still worth saving due to the rarity. 495 built for Canada and only 6 in the Canadian registry.
