Possibly a new place for a mustang meet

Well yesterday the local Ford dealer (only 4 blocks from my house) had their first Mustang Day. Basically they invited all Mustang owners to stop in (and go as they please) for a BBQ. Over 50 mustangs showed up throughout the 4 hour event. What surprised me is the majority of the mustangs were 2005+ including a new Roush (after close inspection I was far from impressed. Terrible paint job with lots of runs, etc.etc.). The owner said he is going to make this an annual event since the turnout was so good.

After the show I went for a cruise and noticed another sort of car show going on. I stopped in and asked what was going on. $15.00/car got you registration to the show and a pig roast dinner. They had a DJ and they partied like mad. I guess they do this every year.

That's pretty cool....

We noticed at Heart Lake this year there was a LOT more 05+ than the last couple years.
First year, there was only maybe 5 of us...

Sadly, that's the same weekend St Thomas has it's annual cruise...

Say, you should bring that blue beastie down to the Wednesday night "cruise" in Aylmer... (yeah, I know...it's over an hours drive)

you give me directions and I most likely would go if it is just over an hour drive. Besides, it takes me 30 minutes to drive to work anyway

Egads! And I thought a ten minute drive to work was bad enough....

The "cruise" (I use quotations because the cars simply sit and are viewed...) is from 6-8 every Wednesday. I can give you directions to either it or my parent's place (I leave from there, after washing the car, naturally), as both are on major highways/streets. If you want more info, pm me.

There are two other 05+ 'stangs that show up as well, usually on weeks I'm not there....or didn't bring my car. Go figure.

Oh, and there's a driver draw as well. I've managed to win something the last two trips.

Well, it wasn't really a "mustang" meet, but I did take a few pics.

Note that I didn't actually photograph most of the cars there... (there were too many for that)
