The Ford of Canada website doesn't show the block heater as a standard item.

I know for a while, most Fords had standard block heaters in Canada. I know my 98 Taurus and 96 Cavalier have one.

I used mine for 2 months......... Its there. The plug was clipped near the rad (I think??) I threaded it down and clipped it around one thin spoke of the lower grille.

My '03 came with one, it was between the drivers headlight and the rad, behind the light.

Sorry!!!! I'm thinking of my probe.

1. Yes you HAVE a block heater.

2. The plug is attached to a hose below the rad. Just look through the left hole in the lower facia and you'll see it. Its clipped with a plastic piece. Great placement and easy to access.

Thanks, everyone. I knew the specs sheet for the car called for a block heater, but I wasn't able to find it (but I guess I didn't look hard enough). I don't really need it, as this car will be off the road in winter, but it's nice to know there is one.

Finally, with the weather this weekend, I was able to give the car a good cleaning. The paint quality seems fine on mine, and I can't find any panel fit issues or anything else to complain about yet. No gas fill-up problems, no Shaker problems, no upper strut clunking, no posi binding problems, etc.

The only problem I have is with my fuel gauge - it keeps going down.

Happy Spring to all.
