So where I bought my 05 Per White fully loaded has a 2006 Black with a pony package and a nice white stripe below doors, every time I see it I like it , so now I'm thinking do I want to trade down from a GT the is so sweet to just as sweet a unit but a little less power ?dunno I'd post a picture but my Boss needed a good camera for the week-end.

This is going to be a very interesting debate.. Personally, I would suggest you keep the GT.. However, if you can point out how the trade might benefit you in the long run, then I will be happy to encourage your decision.. However, on its face value off the top the thought seems utterly ridiculous..

But I am a man with an open mind, and look forward to how the trade can benefit you in the long run..

NO!

Btw I would love to Trade My Black Gt for a White Gt. I just can't Keep it Clean! I will most likely be Getting an 07 GT/CS and it will not be Black. They Look Great but Require a Lot more Attention. Get Some Stripes on that GT!

hmmm, not sure I really understand that one. The loss you would take would be pretty crazy. Just swap out the grille, front bumper cover, paint the car and swap out the rims. That will probably be cheaper than what the loss and taxes you would end up paying to trade it in.

You should really hang on to that GT for the long term Ed ,Perf. white was probably the lowest produced 05 mustang and being a first year rebody could fetch a good buck in 20 years or so .I don't know if your one for long term ownership but to me that car would be a keeper .
I plan on hanging on to mine for at least that long god willing and when it gets payed off I might get a v6 for a year round driver and take the GT out on sundays only at that point ...but no matter what I'm going to do what I can to keep this car for the long term .
Think of it this way if used GT's go for as much as new ones and in the U.S. most new GT's are 5000 dollars over sticker down there .......theres got to be something to it .

Don't do it Ed!!! I understand where you're coming from though... I find myself more attracted to the Pony grille treatment than the one on my current GT but the power loss would drive me crazy! Even the GT feels underpowered to me some days...

I don't think the mileage numbers on the V6 are much better than for the GT. Not enough to take the hp hit anyway.

Well, the Mustang has been parked for a month now and we're forcasted to get 30+ cms of snow before Friday is done so it doesn't look like it'll see the light of day for another, oh, 5 months! Man, I'll have the lowest mileage 05 Stang on the forum soon!
