Being new to Mustangs, but not to car shows, I am wondering if there are any yearly shows/events in the GTA area (or S. Ontario).

Thanks

I know GHMA (Golden Horseshoe Mustang Association) hosts a lot of local events at various car dealers around the GTA.

They also organised the huge show in Oakville for the 40th Anniversary (that show was amazing)

Maybe if we get enough TMS members with Mustangs locally we can organise a cruise through the countryside.

The 40th Anniversary All-Mustang Show last summer was about as good as you will ever get for a Mustang show in this area. There were 495 Mustangs out for that show!
It is not the type of show we (GHMA) can do every year. We will probably do it again for the 45th Anniversary.

We do Stampede Classic Mustang Show every year at Whiteoak F/L in Mississauga. It is a '65 to '73 show, but we do have a display area for newer Mustangs. Mark your calendar for Sunday July 24.

GHMA also has a email network that keeps members up to date on the events for the coming week. It gets pretty busy in the summer.
It is worth joining GHMA just for the events, even if you have a newer (or new) model

Street Classics Show and Shine Cruise is on Saturday Nights from May till October at the Canadian Tire at Queensway and West Mall.
It is for 20+ year old cars (as are most cruises), but they also have a growing area for newer cars.

Just park your car at a local Tim Hortons and start your own show

LOL - i love the 20+ rule, and i can accept that if u run a show you can do what u want, but we have some knucle heads that run shows out here and the oshawa (durham region area), and they say the have a 20+ rule, which in 2005 would be 1985 and older, but they are enforcing an 1981 and older rule, wouldnt that be the 24+ rule - LOL

You guys will definately see me show up at some shows. Kevin, you're meets are probably most accessible to me. Maybe I'll join you in the spring. I'll check the website.

I also say we schedule our own cruise this spring/summer. Even if only 10-15 cars show up. It would be great. We'll talk eventually.

And a few meets are a must.

Looking forward to it.

Dan
