I joined over at EastCoastStang.com and Danny, the site owner, has secured the ATCO Raceway for Wednesday, July 18th. Our goal is to get at least 15 Stang owners to come out and run the 1320'!

Is anyone interested? With 15 cars, the price per car is $133. We're currently at 8 paid and one pending so there's room fo' sure. The catch is, if we don't get at least 15, the price per person would go up. (The cost to rent the track is $2000 for the day.)

By the way, the track is available to us from 9:30am to 4:30pm...

I'd like to watch. I dont know about raceing the strip unless one of u take out but i'm not sure about that even. You might wanna consider this on a Sat or no dice already? Did u get in touch w/ Maverick(Paul)?

 

Hey Mark. It's cheaper during the week. I like your Saturday idea, tho. On a side note, I get such a kick out of seeing your sig where you say 'I saw PitPup's car first.' I remember that like it was yesterday. In case you've forgotten, July 5th was the one year anniversary of you spotting the GO mo'sheen. I picked it up that night (7/5/2006).

 

Wow, nice i remember was a fun ride home . u also signed up on 7-7 not far from pickup date .

 

OK, we have a confirmed 10 paid drivers. So now the cost for renting the track is $200 per person. Remember, if we hit the target goal of 15, this would bring down the per person cost to $133.

I'll be there. My brother and his GTO will be there. Who's coming?

Mark, I went out there myself, but if I had only checked Danny's website, he made a post about 7:30am that they had cancelled it because of rain. My brother was up from MD so I was heading out anyway. Didn't even think of the rain thing.

As for not notifying you, I apologize for that. You had mentioned in an earlier post that you 'wanted' to watch. I never picked up from that that you were going for sure. A miscommunication is all. Next time, PM me? Email me?

The reschedule date is being voted on now. Oct 30th, or one of many days in November. Will let you know. Let's make it a point to PM if you know you want to come.

No prob, pitpup. Its cool. I wasnt sure til the day of cuz of family going to the shore but didnt no when they were going and i went around 1130 to atco. I also saw some1 comeing back on that road but i dont know if they were at the track.
