Checking to see how many members close to Atco would be interested in meeting up for a Fri. night at Atco in October sometime. Friday is open night correct? I'm figuring Oct, when the temp cools off a little it would be nice to hit the 1/4 and hang out. I'm a newb to the track and never ran it before, so for anybody who's never done it either come on out!

Check in if you can make it and what would be a good day.

Actually...open nights are Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays when there isn't a holiday. From what I've found, Thursdays are the best day to go since not too many people go then.

I'm game for an October gathering.

So what's going on for a gathering in October @ Atco??? There hasn't been any replies from anyone other than myself. Are you, FireDragon, still planning on heading there sometime this month?

Not sure now. Might wait till spring. Thought we'd get a few more replies. I was also talking to a few people that said I should wait till a put a few more miles on my car before taking it to the track. Only at about 1900 now. What are good track days? I work 2-10pm with Fri+Sat. off but I heard they're not good nights to go. That and the girlfriend has hayrides and Halloween parties lined up for the next few weekends. She's got us going to that Halloween thing at the Spectrum, too.

I'm also getting ready to throw the FFRP 4.10s, LCAs, and Panhard on. I'm a strip noob, so I am wanting to get out there and see what she'll do. I just ordered the G-Tech thingy to play with.

If the weather is nice I'll probably head there this thursday. I have found thursdays to be the best nights to go since there aren't as many people there. You can get more runs in for your $$$. I think you'd be fine with 2k miles on your car, but I would suggest doing an oil change 1st before hitting the track. I switched over to mobil 1 the week before I went to the track myself.

I've made quite a few runs but I can't get back down to my 13.4 @ 105 that I did back in june. I managed to be the 1st person @ the line and told them not to spray water in the box and that was my best run. Closest I've gotten to that was 13.5 @ 104.

Welp I'm definately heading to Atco tomorrow. I'm going to try and be 1st in line so that I can have them not spray the water in the box. I'll probably stay until 8:30 or 9pm since I'll be there around 4:30. Hope to see a few people there.

Welp..I didn't see anyone else there, I did manage to get back down to my best time again of 13.4 tonight. I got 5 runs in and each one I dropped a 10th...1st 13.8, 2nd 13.7 and so on. Oh well, guess I'll see everyone there next year.

Not parking it, just putting stock air box back in for winter time. I don't want to kill the clutch before the winter since I don't have the $$$ to replace it atmo due to buying a new home. Maybe I'll still go, but with stock box in the car. We'll see.
