What are the benefits or pros and cons of joining a club such as this one?

 

You can be cool like these two guys.

 

 

Some "clubs" have meets, cruise-ins, events at local drag strips, or auto-x events . . . depending on the club and location. Some people just use it to communicate via forums and don't meet other people/members in person. All-in-all it is just a means to get to know some local people with at least one common interest (cars in this example).
