yes it just gets worse .. it will really start making alot of noise when backing up and turning. There no mistaking it. pop pop click. Only happens when going very slow speeds.

Well the noise is gone. I had the dealer show me the parts. The strut tower bearing was totally shot. The part that was shot is what turns when you turn the wheels, anyway Looked like it had exploded/shattered inside. All the ball bearings were loose in there.
Car seems to handle a bit tighter and is definately smoother in steering now.
THE NOISE IS GONE... I am so conditioned to hear it I kept freaking out when it didnt happen on the way home...

I had it done about a little over a week ago, and the noise is gone on mine at well. They didn't say anything about the existing bearings being destroyed as you describe, but I will say it turns a little tighter and more nimbly now. And like you said...
The infernal popping noise is GONE!!!!
Sorry, but I'm kind of glad it doesn't do that anymore...

I MapQuest-ed it, and went right to it. Shouldn't be too far from you, given you live in that town. Tell them Eric with the blue '05 sent you!
Great, knowledgeable people. They were able to dyno it in the right gear, and they were able to pull another 10 or so horsepower out it while they had it up there. Very reasonable rates, and great people to work with. Check them out!
Are you gonna be at Roundup? And what did you think of my post of getting together?
Eric
