VA Beach Car show
I'm viewing your pictures from an internet cafe in one of Sadaam Hussein's former palaces. Thanks for posting
My wife and kids were at that beach playing in the sand and cold water this weekend too.

I agree, and that goes for you too Brad. I bet you're going to have some interesting stories when you come home. Just make sure you come home safe and sound.
I know I speak for quite a few of us when I say that even though we don't know you, the fact that you still talk to us when you can, and that you're still in Iraq says a lot that there's a bigger world out there. I hope you come home safe to all the things here you love, including your new SGT...Thanks for helping make the world a safer place for me.
I'm sorry if that sounded corny and all that, since it seems popular in this day and age to say stuff like that (as opposed to Vietnam, my dad didn't like his reception after the Navy all that much). But I'm a military historian by profession, and from just the academic knowledge I have of war, I know for sure I'm glad I haven't had to serve in one. You have my respect.

Wow great pics!!
Makes me nostalgic - I lived in the Norfolk/Va Beach area between 88 and 92 and know that boardwalk quite well. After all this time would have been way too cool to go back AND get some pics of my baby on there by the beach
Thought I saw that show listed online last year too - is that an annual thing? Maybe next year I'll plan to visit some friends in the area and make the show

As far as stories...my best one so far is flying into Baghdad 50' off the deck in a helicopter going +100mph. That was the most fun I've had in a long time. We were so low we had to climb to clear the powerlines. An interesting way to see Iraq. "Ride of the Valkyres" playing loudly in the background would have made it perfect
