I may be relocating to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I've never visited this area before, so I'm not familiar with the housing, neighborhoods, cities, shopping, demographics, etc. I've done a little research on the web, but I thought it would be best to get some input by the natives. What's a good place to start looking for a home in reasonable driving distance to Langley AFB? Schools aren't an issue. I'm interested in a low-crime area, with homes no more than $100/s.f. Thanks.

I'm moving to Virginia Beach in a couple of weeks. That would be a bit of a commute for you. I'm sure someone will have some good info for you.
