Frank, is that your blue GT with the Mach 1 Grill Delete and Spoiler? If so, that is what I want to do to my car. Now I know what it will look like since those are the same wheels I have. Did you lower it with Springs or is it stock? It doesn't look stock height in the picture.

Yes on all counts.
That is my blue GT...it's got the Mach 1 front end treatment, and it's got Ford Racing C-Springs, which gives the car about an inch drop. I didn't wanna go too low because it is my daily driver, so I did want to still be able to clear speed bumps and such. It's not too low, but does have a subtle aggressive look to it now. The springs also have given it better handling...I can take turns a bit quicker now, and the lean has been reduced a little bit.
Very nice car Frank. I'm going to install the chin spoiler and then see what kind of springs I want. I might check out the Ford Racing Springs. I was looking at Eibach's but they are 1 1/2 drop or even a little more.
Thanks John. I was originally going to do the springs first, then the spoiler...I wanted to see if the bumper was gonna be too low for the spoiler to mount to. But since the spoiler was an easier installation compared to the springs, I had to get the spoiler mounted first. I was pretty happy that the spoiler still has plenty of clearance now that it's dropped. I just have to watch for curbs and parking stops in most parking lots though.
That, and I gotta drive the car up on some 2x4s or 2x8s first, just to fit my floor jack under the front end to jack it up for an oil change.

Your springs are listed as 7/8" drop in the front and 1/2" in the rear. Does it look high in the rear to you compared to the front?

But there is a drop...before the springs, I could fit my hand sideways in the gap between the tire and fender, and have room to move up and down. Now, I'll put my hand in, and there won't be any room to move.
I'm gonna need to look into them. I just don't want a car that looks like it's going downhill standing still, ya know?? It doesn't seem to have that look from your pictures. The Eibachs are 1.5" all the way around. I don't know if I want to do that with the spoiler on the front.
That stance is great. I'm leaning toward the Ford Springs since the drop isn't so bad but I haven't heard anyone (other then Frank) say anything about them. I liked my Eibachs but I don't know if I want my new car as low at the 04GT with the Mach 1 chin spoiler on it. You know, scrape scrape.
Frank, looks like I might go with the Ford Racing Springs. I found them at Mustang Tuning for $140.00 with free shipping. Kinda hard to pass that up.
Does your chin spoiler scrape much?

My spoiler doesn't scrape much, especially in regular driving. I just gotta watch those curbs and parking stops when I park the car.
Good luck! Try not to hang on to them too long before you put them in... LOL (a running gag with me...I had mine for a year and a half before I put them in).

Nope, I ended up ordering the Ford Racing Springs.

Excellent!
Be sure to post pics when you get them on
I will post pictures. I got mine from Mustang Tuning $139.99, free shipping via UPS ground. I don't have alot of patience when parts are sitting in the apartment. I'll have them on ASAP. I was hoping I could get them in before this weekend (Williamsburg/Newport News show) but it won't happen in time.

Well Frank, the springs showed up today. UPS guy was at the door when I got home. Thursday install date.

But you may not need the alignment. I've had my C-springs on for a month and a half, and it still tracks straight.
I just got home from having them put on. The ride is much better and tracks straight. When I go in for my next oil change 1K miles from now I'll have the alignment checked out. It's not as low as my 97GT and that's the way I wanted it.
