Hampton Roads Mustangers
Welcome...
It seems that the Mid-atlantic region never has new posts, let alone any specific posts relating to the Hampton roads area, so I decided to start a thread for the HR Mustangers.
This way, we can find out who lives in our area, and we can post cruise-in times/places, etc.
Also, an idea that I've seen on a maxima forum: they post when they see a maxima (usually modified) on the road, to see if that person is on the site. They call it their "sightings", and it seems to be a good way to find out who's a member. Also, it could bring new members onto the forum, if they frequent this site but aren't a member.
But, I don't know how well this would work, as there are A LOT more mustangs than maximas. But, it's just a thought.
This is a non-specific thread, so feel free to post what want, as long as it's somewhat applicable to mustangs and Hampton Roads.

What's up man? I am in the area and live in the Kempsville area of Va Bch and work arounf Little Creek.
I know there are a few other members here that are in my area and go to Jenros (Tucker, AFBLUE, 46L PONY, etc)
I'd love to meet up with everyone on a weekend or heck I'd love to go to Bass Pro next weekend (wx permitting).
Take care
Jesse

Yeah, we should definitely do a run to Bass Pro. There always seems to be "groups" that go, so we could become the new group on the block.
I went yesterday, and the following groups were present, as they typically always are:
Chevrolet Trailblazer SS
Chevy corvettes (although I don't think they are a "group"...there is just a lot of them in the area)
Dodge Charger
Dodge Neon SRT-4
Mitsubishi Evo
I was one of 2 S197's there yesterday, and that's usually the way it is. There doesn't seem to be a bunch of S197's that show up, and there aren't that many SN95's either.

Anyway, I can't go this weekend coming up, but the following weekend. Although, that will probably be in the thick of pollen season, so we might have to wait awhile....black paint is bad enough without the pollen

I forgot to say...
I work in Newport News, so when I work on Saturdays (which is every other weekend), I go up to Bass Pro after work.
So, I'm sure that we would all see each other there eventually.

I live in VA Beach (just 3 miles from Jenros), and work at Naval Station, Norfolk. I won't be able to attend next Saturday but 7 April looks good (unless I go out of town to get a new stang that weekend).
I'm mostly available for Saturday meets. Here's a couple of the photos from this past Saturday, for anyone who visits and missed the other thread.

I'm ususally available for warm week day eve's for a meet. Sometimes on Sunday.
I live close to Jenros, but will travel most anywhere close as long as it isn't raining.
If you guys want to talk to a mid life crisis guy, would love to meet more of you and talk cars.

The Central Virginia Mustang Club has a show near Richmond Sarurday, April 14 (rain date April 21st). I went last year - lots of great Mustangs and Fords to gawk at and admire. Anyone interesting in meeting up and cruising up to it as a group?
Hiya HR people. I'm sure I'll see you all at at Bass Pro or Jenro's soon enough, once I get my ride up to snuff. Going in for paint and body stuff next week!
It'd be nice to see a strong contingent of S197s at some of the cruise nights around here. Seems a shame to be outnumbered by Corvettes (or worse, SRT-4s). I've seen some very nice S197s at Jenros but it doesn't seem like anyone was affiliated, just parked everywhere around the lot. There's some nice ones around here though, including a few GT500s, a white GT with the CDC glassback, numerous Roushes, some nicely tuned up V6s, etc.

for those interested in joining a mustang club in the HR area:
www.peninsulamustang.com
That is the club that I am a member of. We are a newer club (only around for about 2 years), and most of us are ex-members of Styling stangs.
Anyway, the website says what all we're about and all. I believe the "leader" is working on the site as we speak, so there may be new details in the next couple of days.
