Woodward Dream Cruise Sat August 20th
The cruise is on Sat, August 20th, 2005. Route: Woodward Avenue from Ferndale to Pontiac.
Offically the cruise starts on Sat the 20th at 9am... unoffically.. it starts a good week before. Cruisers from all over the globe and some staying over night just to get a good spot to view the cruising.
It's a 16-mile long car show that is educational, historic and fun for all ages. There is no charge to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise. The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one-day celebration of car culture that attracts over 1.7 million visitors, and more than 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles.
Basically.. you name it.. THAT car will be there.
Although it's free... finding free parking is a major PITA. So... bring some cash to play.
One of the local boards I'm on.. we have a memeber that works on Woodward Ave in Huntington Woods... but not sure if he currently works there and if we can get the ok to park there this year.

If you are planning on attending.. please let me know and I'll try to help out as best as I can.
This is one day NOT to be missed.

Hey, Amy and Joe! I am going to be getting members of the Mach 1 Registry up there, hopefully in partnership with IMBOC (Bullitt club) this year. We'll have to hook up for sure.

Cool.
I might be parking over in the Mustang Alley section in Ferndale this year...
And sometimes the other car club I'm in.. we get a lot in Huntington Woods near 11 mile. I'll have to see if one of the club members still works at the company where we use their parking lot and see if we still have it this year. And I'll ask if we have room for any non-members.
There "might" be a fee for both parking lots.. it'll be small.. like $10-$20 range.. which is good, compared to $75 some spots fetch.
I'll keep you guys posted when I know more about what's going on.
Tony... would be cool to hang out again.

I will be there I never miss it, have been there almost every year since it started, this is the 11th year for the cruise. I use to cruise Woodward in my younger days, in my 66 Chevelle and 69 Cuda. Wow that was ages ago. LOL
Maybe I'll see you there Tony, is Dave going to try and come this year? Granny can't wait to see you again, and the rest of the registry.

Just to add, so far there is no Mustang Alley this year. Team Mustang has no funding. As of a few ago anyway.
The Judged Ferndale show will be on East side of Woodward only, for 2005.
Edit: Update, Friday is cancelled. They are thinking of parking in the Birmingham Parking Structure Friday Evening for $5. Saturday will have Mustang Alley on East side of Woodward this year. If you would like Ferndale Judgeing, you will have to pay the fee.

Bruce did you get the email I sent you? MUSTANG ALLEY is not cancelled I got it right from the Horses Mouth LOL what is cancelled is the Friday Event at Ford World HQ and the Friday afternoon in Ferndale. They are trying to find other alternatives for Friday as maybe plant tours, evening road rally or a hangout in Birmingham.
There is a Website we can go to and check out everything and register your Stang since it is limited to the 1st 500 cars.
They are going to charge $10.00, to cover some of the expense which I think is not much since parking on Woodward is outrageous.

I got this info from Robert Wille SVT-Special Vehichle Team
