For those who have never been to the "Woodward Dream Cruise" it is a sight to behold. It is litterly a 16 mile street party and you will see everything on 2,3 & 4 wheels under the sun. The last time I was there it was estimated that there was 40,000 cruisers and over 1.5 million people at this party.

Yup.. it's INSANE!!

Whatever car you can think of.... you name it... atleast 3 of them will be there.

Took me about an hour just to move 2 miles in the cruise.

Parking is VERY limited and plan on not finding a spot on or near Woodward.. if you do.. be ready to pay $75 for one spot.

I'll be there again this year... just not sure exactly where.

 

This will be my 3rd year down there. It IS incredible. I usually just park on cruise nights because it is alot less stressful. If you see a Bright Tangerine '96, be sure to introduce yourselves because it is probably me (I've yet to see another that color down there yet).

 

There's a 96 GT coupe Tangerine Orange that is always in the downriver area. Usually at this bar in Wyandotte... of which there are many bars there :P

 

Yep... the Dream Cruise really is something you have to see to believe. I remember last year there was a line of yellow Mustangs... must have been 20 or them... all yellow... pretty much every year model you can imagine... it was awesome.

The Downriver Cruise is pretty nice too, it's kind of like a baby Dream Cruise that takes place in late June.

I made a couple comment to you Doug about living in Wyandotte too. You go to Roosevelt, I assume.

I have a bunch of pics up on this site that I took while at the Downriver Cruise.

The one group I'm with, Tri-StateMuscle... we're gonna be near 11 mile. I'd love to be at Mustand Alley. Dunno if I can swing it or not.

 

I go every year, I live like 7 min from from woodward and cruise it all the time all summer, really exciting. I'll be taking all kinds of pics, it's really like christmas for me I can't sleep the whole week.

 

Cruisin' starts tomorrow!!!!!! LOL, no not really but it's gonna seem like it, Im goin down there everyday from now until the monday after the cruise. Think gas prices will go down on the strip , but I have to stock up cause gas stations are gonna have a lot of sold out signs up .

So Amy, pumkin man, phan, how far do you cruise down or up...I usually go down past the detroit zoo with a couple of rewinds leading up to that point, starting from Pontiac and what we call the loop

 

I don't really cruise much. I hang out at the parking lot of 26635 Woodward Ave in Huntington Woods. Travste will be at the same lot along with my buddies from www.tri-statemuscle.com

I'll be walking around and taking the free buses to different areas of the cruise. I do wanna check out Pontiac this year and Mustang Alley in Ferndale

 

OK, maybe I'll see you, Ill be driving the car in my Avatar, but just not a vert. Yeah, Pontiac is pretty cool, they have a car show in the big parking lot next to the phoenix center and usually have cars on top of the center, food and some other stuff. One thing though, I wanna get on tv this time for like one of the magazine shows or the news or even get in a pic in a mag...that would be pretty sweet

By the time the Cruise comes... I'll have a hood scoop attached to it.

Also look for the Mach 1 chin spoiler.. Bullitt fuel door and the rims.. they are differen't, slight gold color to it.

Can't wait!!! I'm heading down on Thursday to meet my club. We're getting a tour of the Romeo engine plant Thursday, going to the 40th birthday party at Ford WHQ on Friday and will be in Mustang Alley for a bit on Friday and all morning/afternoon on Saturday. Hope to meet some of you out that way.

Yea, I use cardomain, I don't think they have a limit, but I have like around 45 on there now. The only thing is they scale them down to the size you see now. It's free too. Extra room is always great tho, ill check it out.

I am FREAKIN BURNT!! hahaha Cruise was awesome, per usual.

BUT.. one catch.. do NOT ride on the bus thinking you are going to be able to go to Pontiac from 11 mile, party there for a little bit.. and hope back on. No lie.. Travis and I were stuck on a freakin bus for I'd say atleast 6 hours. BUT we did manage to head over to Mustang Alley before the bus incident.

Sweet, as usual, only thing i had a problem with was the cops... so many of them. I mean, if they're on woodward who's patroling the malls and donut shops let alone theives :shock: I have to admit i got one tickit for doing a burnout...AFTER THE GUY INFRONT OF ME NEARLY BLEW HIS TIRES! Then I got pulled over today for drinking and driving...funny thing is I'm 20 (Won't be 21 till next year) and the other thing is i don't drink-- at all!. I just showed the guy the rally's cup I had filled with a vanilla milk shake

Me- "Yeah, I had a lil to drink" (holding the cup up)...must have been the Smirnof I poured in it.

Cop-"Well I don't smell any alcohol on you"...ummm, figure that one out by yourself?(in my mind) "I don't exactly drive a funny car"..."F off" (low voice),

Cop-"excuse me?"

Me"I said Fun Stuff" Cop"Oh, Yeah I know"

They also blocked a lot of streets off after a certain time so if you didn't know your way around you were screwed. I'm going out again tomorrow after work...maybe Ill get pulled over for having my view obstructed by my graduation tassle
