Service in South Bend
Service in South Bend
Anyone in South Bend have any good experiences with the service departments of local Ford Dealers? Mod-friendliness, etc? I need to take my car in soon for some shifting issues I'm having and I don't want to get crap because I have an intake on my car.
I had an oil change and rotation done at Gurley Leep ford on Ireland and they were very friendly, but I was paying them for the work.... So I'm not sure if they'll be as accomodating regarding warranty work.
Any suggestions on where I should go?
(the headers and prochamber are not yet installed... and wont be until my issues are taken care of)

I've been thinking about taking mine in for the TSB on the fuel pump and hesitation after a long cruise. Gurley Leep on Ireland is only about 5 minutes from my house, but I wasn't super happy with them when they "replaced?" the fuel tank on my '05 (I really don't think they replaced it like they were supposed to.)
I bought my '06 from Campbell in Niles, and talked with Ron Ward (Mustang sales guy) about their attitude towards mods. He said that they are "friendly" to them, but that's the sales guys opinion, when you're going to be dealing with the Service department. I would think that Campbell would be a little more friendly in the mod department because they sell a lot of modded cars.
They're a Saleen dealer, and also sell Fooses, and Fang Performance cars before they closed up shop.
It might be worth the drive (only about 15 miles from the Southside of SB) to give Campbell a shot. Or just give the service department a call, and talk to them about what you have done and see what they think.

Cool man, thanks for the info
I will check them out. You must live pretty close to me, I am also about 5 Minutes from Gurley Leep (doesnt that make it sound like someone is making a Sissy Jump?). I am off Johnson between 31 and Miami. Codeman is super close to me also, if I remember correctly.

LOL! I've always said that same thing about Gurley Leep (Womanly Jump). I'm just off Ironwood across from the fairgrounds.
I ran into Codey at the Brenspeed Dyno Day a few weeks ago. He said there were a few other SBers running around.
I won't be a SBer for long though. Moving to Logansport sometime in the middle of June. My wife is opening her own Orthodontic practice there.
