Okay, since we are all going to have beautiful new mustangs in the somewhat near future, we will want to drive them around. What are some good routes to take for a weekend drive in the midwest?

Hey Birdman, nice to meet you. I would suggest a drive along the bluffs in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. In case you don't know, bluffs are the hills along the Mississippi River. Or you could drive along Hwy 35 which runs right next to the river. The best time of the year is the Fall when the leaves have changed colors.
Another road is Interstate 90/94 in the Wisconsin Dells area during the Fall. The colors are amazing.
Let me know of any trips that you have taken in your area.

In central southern Ohio, there is a place called old man's cave. All of the roads around it are curvy and hilly. Beautiful when the leaves turn in the fall. There are also some really cool natural attractions there (including the cave system). Great place for a day with a lady and a picnic basket. B)

are you talking about the area around Athens, OH?? We have an annual Probe meet down there and I go show them how a properly driven Mustang handles the twisties.

the roads around Athens also use to be the roads used by the major car mags for road tests....they still do use them on occasion

One of the nicest rides I've taken in a long time was in Nothern Michigan. Once you get north of Ludington on US 31 it runs about 3-4 hours along the coast of lake michigan and sleeping bear dunes. If you have a few days continue through Traverse City and make your way along the coast to Macinaw Island.

Very scenic and limited traffic on most of the route.....
