After looking on the net for a bit, the only road course I could find was Waterford Hills in Clarkston. Most of their information seemed to be outdated (ie. 2 for 1 coupon dated 2002). Just wondering if anyone local knows of one or if this place is still up and running (and how they liked it).

It is four hours from Detroit, but you may want to consider Mosport Park just outside Toronto.

Golden Horseshoe Mustang Association rents the track for a day every June.
It is a world class 2.5 mile road course and for $175(CAN) you can spend the whole day doing lapping sessions with only 15 to 20 cars on the track at one time. No experience is required. Sean Hyland brings out a couple of cars for testing every year.
You really get a chance to learn your, and your car's abilities.

It is a total BLAST!

Wow, that sounds like an awesome time. Do you have a link to the association? How far in advance does it announce which day the track is rented? Thanks for the information, I can't wait to check it out!

I'd say Waterford Hills is more like an hour from Detroit, not 4 - almost a straight shot up I-75. GingerMan in South Haven is nice too.

Mustangs at Mosport is booked for Wednesday June 28, 2006.
The cost will be CAN$195 this year.
This will be the fifth year we have rented Mosport.

He was saying that the course in Toronto was four hours away, not Waterford Hills. Have you been there? How did you like it? Comments on both Waterford Hills and Gingerman would be appreciated.

i'm in SE mich as well, I went to the www.muggziperformance.com site.... how early do they fill up with participants? or is it as many as want to go?

i'd be interested if i could get out of work, has anybody else gone to do this?


I know waterford hills is still in operation (I used to live in Clarkston) but I have no idea if they still have open track days of any kind, i'd be curious to hear from anyone that has been there
