The Mach 1 Registry and Mustang Racing Technologies (MRT) are planning a "Mustang Driving Event" at Nelson Ledges race track in conjunction with this year's MCA Grand National show in Youngstown, OH, over Labor Day Weekend. The tentative date is FRIDAY, Sept. 2, 2005. We would be renting the entire track.
The basic format is a lapping event so that people will have a safe and enjoyable experience on track. Drivers would be grouped according to their level of experience and comfort (beginner to advanced). We are looking at the possibility of parade laps for the beginners at a reduced cost and slower speeds. Instructors may be available too.
The approximate cost is $120-$150/driver for the entire day (less for parade laps if we have them). It may go down if we have enough interest (40-50 participants). We want to give everyone enough time on the track.
Check out this Mach 1 Registry forum thread for more info.
If you are interested in participating or helping, please contact Tony Alonso (tony@mach1registry.com) or Dave Wagner (dave@mach1registry.com).
Thanks!

This is to communicate that registration for this event is officially open. We plan to have members from several Mustang clubs join us since we need 45 participants to make this financially feasible. The registration deadline is July 15, 2005, 11:59 EST.
Please go to this webpage on the Mach 1 Registry website for the online and printable registation forms, as well as the rules and regulations.
We hope to see you there!!

Because of limited response, this event has been canceled.
This track operators policy requires that we commit the full rental payment within 45 days of the event, otherwise a cancellation would not be accepted.
My thanks to all who assisted in the planning and support of this.
All those who registered will be refunded their payments.
