Sweet John! What color/options? I wish my order would get pulled. From what my dealer said (Campus Ford), it should get pulled in the next couple of weeks.

I ordered from Campus Ford on 1/14/05. It's a sonic blue GT Deluxe with dark charcoal cloth, shaker 500, bullit wheels, anti-theft, with the spoiler.

Well, hopefully that means mine is next in line to get built, because I ordered 3 days after you. When did your order get serialized? Mine still isn't.

I stoped at Campus Ford today and they told me that they only built V-6 verts this week. The are now telling me that mine will be built, for sure, in two weeks. I told them about this forum and Joe (my salesman) told me he knew you. They told me that you are third in line after me and one other guy. Does that jive with what they are telling you?

I called Joe today to see when they are getting more allocation. What you said sounds about right, but we'll see what they have to say when I talk to him.

I live in Grosse Pointe - got my GT in October at Roy O'Brien Ford in St Clair Shores. I have only seen about 3 other 05's on the road so far. The car is great!!

How about some specifics? Color, options, ect. Did you drive it all winter? If so, how did that work out?

John, talked to Joe today, and he did confirm what you said. Pisses me off, but he said that I probably won't have my car by my birthday (end of April). I ordered January 17th, assuming that would give me plenty of time.

I'm trying to figure out why they would only build V6s, as I have to assume the profit margin is larger on V8s. Anyway, just thought I would check in and vent a bit. Son-of-a-gun, this waiting is driving me nuts!

Details are: Redfire, bullit wheels, 5 speed manual, shaker 500, anti-theft, dark charcoal leather, with spoiler. I didn't have any problems driving it during the winter, did miss a couple of the days with 12 inches of snow, but drove in one, and had no problems. Drove better in the snow than my 1999 Mustang, although that one is an automatic.

John, has your order actually been serialized yet (and have you confirmed via the automated system?), or are you just basing your information on what the salesman told you?
