Painting Ford racing muffler FR500s

Hi, I am thinking of purchasing the Ford Racing axleback muffler FR500s. How do you feel about me painting them? Or should I leave them as is.

I have painted the mufflers so they didn't look like some appliance hanging down below the rear valence. Did it before installing M-5230As; masked and sprayed carefully on the new car without changing mufflers.

I used black caliper paint which cures to a semi-gloss finish; my experience with hi-temp paint is that it looks flat and gray after it cures.
