Just letting everyone know that doesnt already know that the Knotts Berry Farm Ford Show is on April 17th. And for anyone who is interested in cruising up with a lot of Mustangs to go to the show there is a group meeting up at 6 am in the parking lot of the TGIFridays in Carlsbad on Palomar Airport Rd. So far there are 50 cars meeting there and more people join in as they pass by on the freeway from adjoining onramps as they hit the OC, they do this every year and head up together, I believe the show is free for spectators, but please dont qoute me on that. It should be fun last time they had so many cars they took up everylane on the freeway and pretty much dominated the roads and were cruising at a quick pace and the one CHP that they came across was just loving it and let them have fun.

Sounds like a possibility. As the date draws nearer, I will consider it, can’t promise anything because I’m normally busy on the weekends and this isn’t priority one for me.

I wonder if anyone has ever joined in on the cruise not knowing where it is heading. Seems like something I would do if I ever saw a ton of nice cars heading down the highway together.

Hey, Rick... I am thinking I might be able to join for this after all. I would need you to call me and let me know about when you are hitting my area... Also, what route are you all taking?

ok this is the route as far as I know

We go up the 5 freeway to the 91 to Knotts I believe.

They suggest that you come down to mission viejo to join in I guess some guys waited on the on ramp at the Ortega HWY last year, maybe they're doing it again.

Surfn since you might be down here that weekend do you want to meet up at TGIFridays?

And Rabbitt this Horse Emblem would look sick on your Stang once its done

I might like to join you guys in my 69 BOSS, picking up in Mission Viejo.

FYI: Anyone who wants 100 octane fuel on the way, the 76 Gas Station/Car Wash at La Paz Road and the 5 (just west of the freeway) has 100 octane at the pump!!!

So to get in on this we're supposed to meet in mission viejo or in the parking lot of the TGIFridays in Carlsbad????? I can't wait till next weekend

ok nevermind I get it. the onramp in mission viejo is like a second starting point. Maybe someone should set something up, just so no one misses the "train"

Do you guys have a place to meet once you are at the show, or parking outside the show? I ask as I may go up on Saturday night instead of driving up Sunday morning and wonder where I could meet up with you guys/gals?

Thanks,
Beckie

Okay - For anybody wanting to join this caravan on the Ortega Highway (74) onramp, what time do you want to meet there? Assume this would be the onramp to the northbound 5...yes?

the group from carlsbad will be meeting at 6 am and leaving the parking lot around 6:30, most of these people are showing their cars, the gates open at 7 am for these people for spectators the gates open at 10am, but for those not showing that want to cruise up (like I am now one of unfortunately not showing my car anymore) we can park in the sears parking lot across the street and watch the cars cruise in to the show which is a lot of fun too and a real easy way to see every car. Maybe go out to grab some breakfast too if anyone is interested to kill time. Rabbitt are you going? Surfn cant make it unfortunately. if anyone is interested PM me or Rabbitt if its ok with you PM Rabbitt to get my number so that you know when we are approaching your next meeting place, or if Rabbitt is going and she plans on meeting up with some of you guys in the OC then I can call her and let her know as we approach.

I am trying to figure out how long it would take to make it from carlsbad to the ortega hwy considering there will more than likely be no traffic that early, I would asy around ahlf an hour tops, probably a lot less since I think it will probably turn into a race through camp pendleton stretch of freeway. so if you guys were there around 6:30 you should easily see us coming there is another group that is suppose to be joining in up there as well it should be easy enough.
