This coming Saturday is a huge BBQ/Meet at Doheny State Beach in the OC, so far 4 clubs are going to be in attendence.

Clubs attending: SoCalStangs / Lost Angels / SCHP / WHSD / Surfside Mustangs

Date: Saturday, December 3rd
Time: 12pm
Location: Doheny State Beach, Dana Point
Parking Costs: $10/car. Parking is as a first come first serve basis, so wherever we can find an open lot of spaces.
Food: If you want, bring some basics and we should be able to make a run to the store once everyone is there.
Web Site: http://www.dohenystatebeach.org/

SD Meet Spot: Sears parking lot at the Carlsbad Mall. Meet at 10:45, leave at 11:05.

Directions:

From Los Angeles and Orange Counties: Take Interstate 5 south to the Pacific Coast Highway/Camino Las Ramblas off-ramp (approximately 15 miles south of the Interstate 405 and 5 Interchange). As soon as you exit the freeway you will come to a fork; bear right. You are now on Pacific Coast Highway (northbound). Dana Point Harbor Drive is about 1 mile from the Freeway and is at the second traffic light. As you approach this intersection, Denny's restaurant will be on your right. Turn left onto Dana Point Harbor Drive. The State Beach entrance will be to your left at the first traffic light.

From San Diego County: Take Interstate 5 north to the Beach Cities/Camino Las Ramblas off-ramp. Once you leave the freeway get into the left lane. After you pass through the tunnel you will be on Pacific Coast Highway. Continue about 3/4 mile to the second traffic light which is Dana Point Harbor Drive. As you approach this intersection, Denny's restaurant will be on your right. Turn left onto Dana Point Harbor Drive. The State Beach entrance will be to your left at the first traffic light.

I'm down to go. Anyone from L.A. want to meet up and cruise down together? It'd be really cool if someone could bring a Video camera.

Crystal Cove is a large well known weekly gathering of car enthusiasts everything from old school muscle to high end exotics, mostly exotics, not uncommon to see things like Enzoes there, it goes from 7am-10am and if you want to park anywhere close to where all the cool cars are you need to get there before 7. It is in Crystal Cove just north of New Port on 101 in a starbucks/shopping center parking lot.

Richard, I'd like to finally make it to a meet, but am lost with this one. Is this a different CC from the state beach just to the south of NB, north of the now infamous Laguna Beach, on the 1?

Cheers!

this meet is a two parter so to speak, first some of us are going to CC which I am not sure what you are asking on that one, its the only Crystal Cove that I know about, this is a small group going to this, then after CC we (the small group) are heading to Doheny State beach for the BIG meet where everyone will be at, we will be getting there early to reserve spots since CC ends early. You are welcome to come and go to which ever youd like as you see fit.

I'm thinking of going to both, but your directions for Crystal Cove say "...just north of Newport...on 101...". The Crystal Cove I'm thinking of begins south of Corona Del Mar (which is south of Newport). I haven't stopped off down there for a while, but I can't remember seeing where Starbucks is.

yah thats the one, sorry I got the wrong side of Newport, you have the right one, there is a shopping center on the east side of 101 and starbucks is as soon as you enter you just have to drive around the insland dividing the parking lot and the entrance

I just checked the weather report online for Dana Point and it doesn't say anything about rain for tomorrow.
