OK....so I'm going to a wedding next week in the Tampa area.... is there anything I absolutley must do while I'm there?...Anything I should prepare for?

 

Hmmmm, well the track doesn't open till March, down in Bradenton. You won't need your jacket, it's still in the low 80's here. Hey, you could drive across the Sunshine bridge while your here. Wait for the wind, for the full effect. In Brandon/East Tampa area, is the Largest Roush Dealer, Brandon Ford, you can see their own special "Street Legal" Drag Cars. the 08 Roush Drag Pak, modded by Brandon. There are only 15 of them. Down that way in Venice, check out the white sandy beaches too.

 

Just don't talk to any of the salesmen at Brandon Ford. Most of them are completely incompetent fools. They do have some really cool cars on display usually. They almost always have a tweaked Ford GT in the showroom that was secretly tuned by Roush, for whatever that's worth.

Prepare for it to be ridiculously hot. I'm north of Tampa and it was hot enough tonight to not even consider anything but shorts and a t-shirt. You could go check out Busch Gardens while you are here if you are into theme parks. As hot as it is, you could go to the beach and probably be quite comfy.

 

ok...my buddy is actully getting married on the beach...so that shouold be cool. Anything esle? any good places to get some food? I went to Fort Meyers a little over a year ago and found Pincher's Crab Shacks to be Awesome!

 

My buddy said to go to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I thought it was like a small local thing but apparently it's a chain, but he says its really good. They have a bunch of them around Florida. I live a good 30-45 min from Tampa, so I don't get to eat over there much.

 

alright....I'm back....I suggest that everyone in the world go to "Sharkey's" just south of the Airport on Venice Beach and have a piece of Pumpkin Cheesecake....it changed my life.
