How does November sound for another Tampa/Orlando TMS Meet? Are we going to do another Race Rock meet or will it be someplace else? And, finally, which weekend?

So many questions... we just need some input so we can figure it out!

I'll throw out a couple dates... either November 18th or 25th. That gives close to a month for us to set it up.

 

Back when me and my buddies went to Florida for spring break...we were highly sleep deprived, and were wondering....if there was a city exactly between Tampa and Orlando...what should it be called.....

Orlampa?

or

Tamplando?

November 18th = Western Carolina
November 25th = Florida State

However... if you guys wanna do it the 25th, and we still have time in the evening to watch the game, ill be able to do it.

The time would be 11am until ?? like last time. We meet at 11am, hang out for awhile, get a table for lunch, and then leave whenever you feel like it. I have to be at work at 2:45, so I leave no later than 2pm.

 

Just a note, Nov. 25 is Thanksgiving weekend. But I'm in for the 18th by then will have a little money saved up.

I vote the 25th, the 18th I wouldn't be able to come bc of the home game. Thanksgiving takes a back seat to Mustangs...right? By the way, they would call it "Orlampa." There's a sign up between Tampa and Orlando that says it I believe. I'm pretty sure it's marking the supposed site of the high speed rail system they think they are going to install one day. Whoever "they" might be.

 

I MIGHT be up for the 18th although not 100% sure.....

next weekend is definitely out for me.....

Dave/MTAS is definitely out - lemme see if I can get Perry and Jackie to put aside some time....

 

We can wait if not too many people can make it.

But I'll vote for the 18th, too. We have to get Chuck to drive up!

I dont think I am going to make it in that time frame anyways. Nov. 16th I will be in Tampa at Brandon Ford for the Roush show with Jack Roush . Also the weekend right after Thanksgiving is Turkey Run in Daytona which is another HUGE car show in the infield of the track. Only its all classics but WELL worth going also for anyone interested.

Always watchin,always watchin....Tom,Why don't you revise that poll to include dates in early December as well. Both Nov. dates are a no go for me. Instead of meeting real fast for lunch,I was thinking I would have a BBQ get together at my house..Shoot the breeze and chill for a while..Let me know what you guys think..Lets try to get all the guys(and gals) we had at MOSI and then some.

 

I like his idea. It doesn't seem like my Nov 25th is going to fly with anyone, and Nov 18th is no good. If we can try for Dec, I think that might be best. Although, I'm not 100% sure I could make it in Dec due to my exams.

 

Well I got a buddy from college who lives in St. Pete so getting up to that area ain't too big a deal for me anymore if I plan it out (between him and then Dave over in Plant City) - BBQ sounds like a winner!

(although you have to scout out a good place we can line up all the ponies and get a group pic - cruise to the beach maybe?)

 

OK... BBQ sounds great! I guess we'll scrap anything in November and we'll try to plan something for a little later.

 

I was thinking of parking the cars backed in around the cul desac..that would be different

 

Think we could hold off until Sat. the 16th or is that too late?

 

Dec 3rd is Funday Sunday at Orlando Speed World, I know some lightning guys are already planning to meet up there, and there is going to be a dyno there.
