Hello everyone, we (Burke0011 and I) are putting together a TMS meet at Race Rock in Orlando on July 15th (Saturday) at 11am. See Race Rock for the location on International Drive. So come out and join us for an afternoon of good times! The restaurant opens at 1130am, so if we get there by 11am we can park together.

Edit 5/29: I want to add that this is not something that has been set up with the Race Rock management. I've done that twice over the years and both times it ended up being a disaster - the manager was either a royal a-hole, or the staff was clueless. Both times had been confirmed a week before and the day before we were scheduled to be there. If someone wants to tackle coordinating this with Race Rock, be my guest.

You guys are just a little early. I don't start college until August. As of now I would have to drive 3 hours to get there. BTW I live in Tarpon Springs. Near Tampa

Hey any of you Orlando regulars know someplace cool we can cruise to? Figure we can hang in the pakring lot of Race Rock, get pics, eat... but then we should cruise somewhere... maybe find another good spot to get some pics?..... Get some cruising video on the way?

Any ideas?.........

Wow - shaping up to be a busy day - I'll have to see if we are scheduled to go get our new trailer that weekend or if there are any race conflicts, but otherwise, we'll be in for it too!

Question is - which Mustang to bring? The 73, 93, or 05? Don't have room for them all even in the new trailer!

I am going to the Greenway Ford meet on East Colonial (Hwy 50) at SR 417 that day. There will be a dyno set up there also, with plenty of parking and no International Drive traffic woes. Perfection Performance and Greenway Ford are sponsoring the gathering. SilverHorse, come on down and meet some of your customers and make new ones. Heck, who knows, maybe Greenway will have a Shelby by that time. Can we hope?

Just learned tonite, Greenway Ford meet might have been called off. Checking further. One member heard it was cancelled. Pres of CLub had not been informed yet. Oh, well. More to come later.

I might be able to make it to the meet on the 24th. I'm going back to Gainesville soon but I might come back down for that. Dave, do you know anyone else from pc on TMS? I'm from PC but I go to UF. I've been keeping an eye out for your car but I don't think I've seen it.

I'll try and remember the date if im not working ill show up. I gotta get some mods done to my mustang first. The UDP and Short throw shifter are still in the box and today i just ordered a bbk 62mm throttle body and frpp ceramic shorty exhaust headers. Also im bidding on a magnaflow x-pipe with free flowing cats on Ebay. So hopefully by the 24th I can have it all on.

Hey Kyle - yeah there's at least one other active TMS member in PC, LimeGT (Phil) who lives on the other side of I4. I'm basically around the corner from the YMCA on Mud Lake Rd. I try to drive my car as much as possible on the weekends around town, surprised you haven't seen me. I'll keep an eye out for you as well! Hopefully you can make Race Rock

Replied by PM, but still no word from Perfection Performance about Greenway Ford. Sorry guys.
However,
I was given a flier about another free car show in Ocoee, FL, which is west of Orlando (suburb) on June 24 starting 9:00 a.m., all day. It is at The Cornerstone Community Church at 1550 East Crown Point Road, Ocoee, Fl. 34761. All cars are welcome. No mention of preregistration, just show up, it's free. It says free food too. They give a web site of " www.cccwg.com"

I haven't checked the web site yet. An easy way to get to Ocoee from east bound I-4 is to go to US 192, go west from I-4 and north on SR 429 (Toll Rd) SR 429 will take you to Ocoee. I'll check further on the web site.

O.K. I checked out the church's web site. They have a map to use and it's pretty good. It would be easy to find for anyone not from the area. However, the event is not listed on their calender of events yet. I was given a full color flier announcing the car show from a Orange County Sheriff's Deputy friend of mine who has a race car built for "Beat The Heat" races so I believe it will go on the 24th. That could be your cruise, maybe. A destination, nice event and free food.
