May 5th Central Florida Car show and Dyno day - Longwood, FL
On Saturday May 5th 2007 VMP Tuning Inc and Central Florida Motorsports (CFM) will be holding a free car show and dyno day. The event will be at CFM's location in Longwood from 10am to 5pm.
Address:
130 Bomar Ct, Longwood, FL 32750. Bomar Ct is located off Florida Ave, which is off 17-92, just north of 434 (right next to the car dealership).
VMP Tuning Inc will be on site with their Mobile Dynojet. The cost is $40 for 2 dyno runs, $10 more for air fuel. We highly recomend air/fuel, as it helps in diagnosing peformance problems.
VMP will also offer "try before you buy" custom tunes, see how much power you will pick up with a VMP tune on your 2nd dyno run.
Individual vehicle performance evaluations & recomendations. The experts at VMP and CFM will recomend the best modifications for your vehicle and budget.
Dyno Chaallenge - prize for the highest HP & TQ 4, 6, and 8 cylinder vehicles.
CFM will be having an open house, they are now open for walk-in sales. CFM now offers installation services for all makes and models.
Free food & drinks.
Raffle for free dyno runs & other prizes.
Wash your car, bring some chairs and have a good time with fellow performance enthusiasts. All makes and models welcome.

Justin, you know I'll be there!
We talked on the phone about the Fox body Cop Car. Will you be able to remove the air cleaner assembly lid and filter between runs for me? I have to figure out if that thing is restrictive or not.
See ya on the 5th - I'll be there a little before 10am! I'll try to drum you up some more business by bringing a friend or two...
I may have asked before, but are you taking appointments on your website for this one, or is it just walk-up only?
Thanks!

Justin... I'm going to want to get on the list and then be on the list 6 or so cars later. This will give me time for jetting/timing changes. Will this be possible?
Thanks!

Hi, that is possible, it will be $50 each time for dyno runs with A/F.

Justin, the clutch didn't slip at all on the way home. And when we were close enough to home, I tried everything and still couldn't get it to slip. I went out by myself later and did WOT pulls in 4th gear from 60 to 120 MPH on a back road and it STILL wouldn't slip. That was about 3000 - 6000 RPM.
It must be harder to turn that barrel than it is to move 3000 pounds over the road.![Dunno](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
At any rate, I know the cable is adjusted correctly, so the engine's coming out after I do some research for a good clutch - I can pull the engine faster than doing the work from underneath the car.

Thanks for coming out everyone, the dyno day part of the show was the biggest in central FL history, we dynoed 31 vehicles! We may do this again when it gets cooler.
Hey Trooper, let me know what you find when it comes out.

Justin - here is the dyno chart. I added the green line that shows the speed that the rear tires SHOULD have been moving based on the formula MPH = (RPM X Tire Diameter) / (Rear Gear Ratio X 336).

Is there any chance that you have the file from my dyno pulls at Fantasy of Flight? I would love to see the RPM/MPH graph on that one if you still have it. I'm wondering if it was slipping then, too, and perhaps it wasn't as noticeable to you due to the lack of power. It did seem to hit the rev limiter kinda fast compared to other cars there.
Here is the graph with the file info on it, in case you can look it up:

Thanks!
