This is up in the 05 forum, but I got what looks to be a spectacular price on the 05 from them, But it doesn't matter if they are one of the slime pit dealers.
Anyone? How are they? new dealer, Old dealer? Slimy Dealer? Clean Dealer? Snakey salesmen?

I've never bought anything from them, but I've never heard anything bad about them either. I went there trying to help my mother find a Taurus. They came up with a pretty decent deal, but my sister managed to get an X-plan deal for her in Florence.

I usually check between Woody Anderson in Huntsville, Joe Sartain in Decatur, and Dan Wachtel in Athens.

I bought a truck in Athens once when it was North Alabama Ford, and they left a really bad taste in my mouth. I don't know if it is the same people with a different name at Dan Wachtel, but if I was dealing with them, I would just watch very closely.

Overall a decent dealer, as long as you get a good salesman. Some of those people are real hard to work with, but if you are getting a good price get it.

Let me know when its delivered and I'll go and take pics.

I bought my Mustang GT from them in April and got an awesome deal. Never had any trouble with their sales department, however I haven't been real impressed with the service department.

I worked in sales at Woody Anderson Ford for 6 1/2 years, they use to have a good reputation but in the last few years I've heard several people complain about them. Dan Wachtel Ford, I have several friends there that I worked with at W.A.F., have not heard anything bad about them. Joe Sartain Ford, some friends of mine have bought from them and had good experiences. Family Ford in Florence is where I bought my Mach 1, when I had an issue with the '03 Mach Richard Thigpen, owner, was very helpful in getting Ford to do a buyback. If and when I buy another car I'll probably check with them first.

Long Lewis is my second choice- They have the second lowest price I received.
Valley Ford in Oneonta is my third.
Town and Country has not replied back to me yet.

I am trying to get the best experience. Price not so much as getting what I want, and dealing with a non shady car dealer.

I have used Adamson here, and I wasn't unhappy I just didn't walk out with a Ford. I got a gently used olds still under warranty. (Back in 2000 when the manuals were under recall and I didn't have the patience I have today).

Side note- Susan Schein Chevy(I know, not ford) is the absolute scum at the bottom of the barrel. Bought a neon there once, NEVER again.

i wasn't really impressed with Woody Anderson when I was shopping in 2001. However, was impressed and bought my car from Harbin ford in Scottsboro. Good guys over there.

I received X-plan for my Mach1 from Woody Anderson Ford in Huntsville. Not sure if u could get the same for an 05, but wouldnt hurt to try. Btw, if u dont plan on buying until March why are u lookin for a deal now? There will be a surplus on 05s on the lots by then. I guarantee u will find a better deal then than u will now.

Because you never know what will happen- the down payment fairy could come visit me before January, then I could do it now. I am just laying plans, not slagging around like I normally do when I buy a car.

Its not so much a "price" deal than a mainly honest dealer- Even doing this I have ran onto 3 so far that are slimy snakes.

Joe Sartain was pretty upfront with me, as was Long Lewis and Valley Ford.
