Central Alabama Car Show 10/11/08
Hello Fellow Stangers !
Our Southern Stang Mustang Club is teaming up with DixieMuscleCars.com and the Birmingham F Body Association to have a "Dixie Spooktacular Car Show" in Leeds, Alabama on Saturday, October 11, 2008.
Although our partners for this show are primarily GM car nuts (but very appreciative of all muscle cars), we would like to bring as many Mustangs and other Fords as we can to show these guys what our cars are all about. If you can make it out, we would love to have you.
The trophies that will be awarded at this car show include:
(1)Best in Show (There will be several Judges from different clubs to keep it as non-biased as possible)
(1)Best "Old School" 1900-1981
(1)Best "New School" 1982-2008
(1)Best General Motors
(1)Best General Motors Runner Up
(1)Best General Motors 3rd Place
(1)Best Ford
(1)Best Ford Runner Up
(1)Best Ford 3rd Place
(1)Best Chrysler
(1)Best Chrysler Runner Up
(1)Best Chrysler 3rd Place
(2)Best "Chick Magnet" (Women only Judging)
(1)Best Engine
(1)Best Paint
(1)Best Wheels
(1)Best Interior
(1)Best Female Owned Vehicle
(1) Cleanest Car (This could be a bone stock car as long as you're good at detailing it)
(1)Most Photogenic
(1)Best "Project" Vehicle (This is open to any "unfinished" vehicle)
(1)"Cop Magnet" (Police Officer Judges only. They will be asked to pick which vehicle theywould most likely stop based on appearance alone.)
At this show, you can also pose for pictures with your car in front of a real police car (I believe a new Dodge Charger police car) with a police officer in a simulated arrest situation. (It's better this way than a for real situation

The Show Gates open at 9am, with judging starting at 10pm. Awards will be presented at approximately 3pm.

As an update to our Car Show, we have added some additional trophies to the mix that will apply only to Mustangs. The trophies added will be "2008 Dixie Spooktacular Car Show - Top 20 Cars - Mustang Class"
