I will be attending the Race this Saturday at Barber Motorsports Park. This will be my first time at the track. Where is the best place to sit?

Thanks

Hey Tim,

Here is a map with the spots I've picked out for my photographers. The race starts at 2, but different classes start practicing at 8. Get there early and watch practice to see what places are the most comfortable and provide the best view.

Check your email for my cell phone number.

Tacbear has already scouted out a great area for us to watch alot of the race. I'll get him to chime in.

the best spot i've found is at the end of the back straightaway.

My favorite spot is just to the left of the bottom-center spot highlighted on Brad's map. Right in front of the two shortcuts. You can see most of the back straight, the hairpin turn (aka Charlotte's Web, aka turn 5). The braking zone leading into the hairpin is where some of the best racing takes place.

It's fairly close to the expo area as well as good and plentiful parking.

the thing i like about the back straight,is you can put your chair just inside the tree line in the shade and still see 65% of the track. shade is good for us old farts.

I am all for shade, Chris is probably right--he knows that track alot better than me. We need a good place to park a real Cobra R and my half-assed fake and are you going to the race??

Got my folding chairs already packed in the Mach. Now just need to throw some shorts in a bag, and I'll be heading down Friday morning! Leaving Cincinnati @5:00am.

i'll be there.i think i'm going to steele friday night also. at barbers where i'm talking about there is a big parking lot right behind where i like to sit.you can walk about 30ft. and see your car.concessions and restrooms are right there also. theres really not a bad spot anywhere out there, you can jump on the tram and ride all the way around the track.
