Transformers Alternators 2005 Mustang?!
#21
I had heard about this one through the grapevine a few months ago, but I had not yet seen any prototype pictures until just this evening.
What completely baffles me about this particular Transformer is its namesake. According to sources, this one will be named Grimlock. If you know anything about Transformers... then I would think Grimlock is a very poor choice for a Mustang name. Hopefully this will be debunked in the coming weeks. I'll keep this topic bumped when I find out more for certain.
(Why couldn't it have just been Freeway, as was originally leaked...? I like that name so much better...)

Maybe this is a timing issue with the new cars and transformers....they are getting ready to make a movie and good ol' Steven Spielberg is going to direct. Maybe the new Mustang could be a star in that.

Believe me, I'd love to find out that this is a fake. All of the other BinalTech/Alternators have been works of art up to this point. The Mustang, though, just seems to be... lacking. Hopefully I'll be able to find out more info soon.

I was in the original Transformers generation. My all time favorite........Jetstream, the biggest model you could get and my dad (God rest his soul) bought it for my 8th birthday....tried to find picture, but I think it might have had a diff name in the States. Jetstream was a red and white F-14 lookalike......
So cool (takes me right back...)

There were dinos back in the originals. Not the beast wars crap though. There were the dinobots man you know grimlock and slag etc, google it up sometime. I'm too lazy to go into detail/geek mode lol.

Actually, you're right they had dinos a year or two later ... But the ORIGINALS (I was 11/12 when they came out) only had cars, and megatron was a gun. I still have my Sideswipe and Skywarp. I've long since lost any others, including my very first: bumblebee.
I'd like to point out there were animals though ... The cassettes, which I had two of them. I had totally forgotten about them. Oopsy!
The next few years when they started issuing the other transformers, Grimlock came out -- but he wasn't an original .. I had "outgrown" them, so I thought, by the time they came out.
It wasn't a slam, just an observation. My son loves the transformers now.

It's cool dude, good point btw. I forgot all about the cassettes, oh man I'm getting flashbacks lol.
I should mention that I'm 20, which means I was probably 3 or 4 when the show first came out. I grew up on reruns back in like 90-93.
I had a grimlock and a slag, they were pretty awesome. My cousin had the original metal optimus prime, and that thing weighed a ton.
And I hear ya on outgrowing them. Girls(most) just don't understand man, cars and robots are a too cool to outgrow.

But, I'll admit I never really outgrew my Legos, though.

Those cassettes!! There were 2 as I recall.....
What was the name of the VW Bug? (yellow??)
As for the guy that has Mint Jetfire and Optimus, he is lucky (and foresighted to not take them out of their boxes!)

I'm 26, I remember them coming out vividly, never missed an episode and used to play transformers in the playground at lunch......how sad is that??

And the yellow Bug was BumbleBee!
