Thanks Chuck. I decided if I was going to get an older Mach that was the one I wanted. There's a couple more Boss 302's I'd like to get. If I can be patient I'll find them for a decent price. How's your collection of 1/43's coming along? I only have one and it's an Ertl from 1989, 1968 Shelby GT500(Red).

 

If you don't mind me asking, but how much did you pay for it? I got mine years ago from Dyersville, IA years ago for $50.00 Dyersville is the town where the Ertl factory is.

Well, Skip, it's time to get serious again.
I did stumble across a Matchbox 1/43 series with two 65 GT verts (yellow & red),
two 67 GT fastbacks (blue & black), and two 70 Boss 302s (red & whtie).
I 'll try to get some pictures up this weekend.

i bought a grabber blue 69 boss 429

 

I've seen those on Ebay. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Grabber Blue not offered until '70?

 

im not sure man might be alcopaulco blue...just looks to light to be it is all :P

Hey Derek, I picked up a '70 Calypso Coral Boss 429 on Ebay. Should be here early next week. Will post pics when it arrives.

They're not cheap but then you do get what you pay for.

 

actually i dont find ERTL to be all that bad...the detail in their cars is really good especially for the price..

 

I have NO PROBLEM with Ertl, I have a few myself. I'm just saying that for the price that Hwy. 61's product is hard to beat. Now, Ertl has gotten a lot better over the years. The 2 Boss Mustangs I have from them are from the early to mid '90's.
