My sister went to a auction over the weekend and bought me a real cool set of trading cards.

They were in a box that normally carry football card sets

She only paid $7.00 for the box.

Inside one complete (well almost missing three from the Shelby mini series) set of cards numbered from 1 to 110 all mustangs ranging from 1964 1/2 to 1993 I believe. Different picks of different years. Picture on front with engine pick on the back with details of that year or model type of the car.
There are four other sets missing just a few cars.

Also in the box were called Musle Cars, showing all diff muscle cars from the era.

It was just a plain white box. She opened the box to see what was inside it and she seen the picks of the muscle cars. She did not see the Mustang cards. She thought it would be nice to get the cards for her sons to do a montage in a frame to hang on ther wall in there bed rooms.
Once she got the box home and was looking through it, her husband said this is a box of all Mustang cards.
So her knowing that I am a fanatic about Mustangs called me up and said I needed to stop by her house after work to take a look at them.

I had never heard of these before so I really had no idea what she was talking about, but all she needed to say was Mustang and she new she had my undivided attention.

The little mini series in the set is 9 cards all Shelby's and some of them have holly foil Cobra emblems on them. That is where I am missing three.
I guess the rare ones are gold holly foil Cobra's with Carroll Shelby's autograph on them.

The company that made them is called Performance Years Quality Card Company or Freel. Could only find anything about it on EBay. Someone has sets up for auction at $25.00 per set. I have series 1, there are 2 series of them. He also has them up for auction as well.

Here is a link to the Ebay site for a quick look.

I will try this weekend to scan a couple of them to post.
I have never posted pictures before, so this will be a bit of an adventure for me

All in all it was a great find. I love them to death.
Now going out to buy the best plastic sleeves I can buy and will be looking for a great book to put them in.

Edit:
P.S.
My sister said they also had a box of the plastic wrappers (empty) that the cards came in. She said some guy bought them for $2.00. He probably thought he was getting the cards in the wrappers.

This got me to thinking, I had some old Muscle Car cards, turns out they're from the early '90's. One set had all the cards, the Mustang set was missing a few and so was the Genuine Musclecar set.

I had a set of these back when they first came out and have no idea what happened to them, then as luck would have it a friend of mine gave me an entire set just becasue he knew I liked Mustangs and had them laying around...
Does anyone know what these things are worth if anything?
