J/K Its pretty good for a budget game. I love team racing. Let me tell you one thing, classic championship is easy, but in the next level, be sure to buy a Boss 429, you'll need it.

Depends on when it was made. The purple/black discs are CD-Roms which are different from the majority of PS2 games which are printed on DVD-Rom (silver discs). As for the getting it fixed issue call Sony as a while back(like 4 years I think) there was a class action law suit due to the PS2 not reading CD-Rom games. I believe if it was made during a certain time frame the repair is free. Other then that you can take the PS2 apart and there is something with the reader head on the drive that can be rigged to work again, but I don't have the link that shows how to do it. Try searching www.g4tv.com under the X-play section and search PS2 won't read blue discs and there should be a write up on how to fix it on your own. Though I would call Sony first to see if they will fix it.
