Did any company make 1/18th scale SVOs other than Welly? All the ones I see on e-bay are 1986 SVOs with only one spoiler. I really want one with the double spoiler. Any help?

There is a company called GMP. They make VERY detailed diecast 1:18 scale cars. They make a black and silver SVO with the bi-plane spoiler. I too was waiting for Welly's version, but when I saw the lack of the double spoiler, I was really disappointed. You can find the GMP models on Ebay sometimes at some good deals. They nornally go for $90, but there is a seller on there that seems to have a oversupply of these, and he sells them on there with a very low staring bid, with no reserve. I missed the last silver one that went for only $50. Believe me, GMP models are well worth $50 bucks. Go check out their site, GMPdiecast.com. Hope this helps .

GMP makes the finest diecasts out there. The Fairlane 427 (and other Fairlane 390s) they produce has actual roll down front windows using the crank inside! They also weigh almost 5lbs... amazing detail.

Anyway, the GMP SVOs are nice, I have the black 86 and the silver 84. Their 85 GTs are equally as nice. As for the Welly, it uses the same body mold but is far less detailed. Plus, the single tier spoiler is correct for 86 as it was an option for those who didn't like the double tier version.

The Danbury Mint has a 1:18 scale SVO. Its a lot of money ($169 I think). IF the quality of it is close or better than my 1:24 Boss 429 from them then it would be a very good model.

I believe that the Danbury Mint SVO is just the GMP model. Many of the "Mints" sell other people's stuff through their catalogues. I agree on the 1:24 Boss 429 though, the thing is gorgeous! The stance is perfect... I can't take my eyes off of mine!

I just saw 1:18 SVO this morning for $30. I know the details are not as good but they are not bad either. I was thinking about buying one, but I bought 1:18 Chrysler 300C instead.
