I've been waiting for this kit to show up. I've been building model since I was a kid and can't wait to get this. As far as I can tell it will not be released till October. Keep a look out gang should be soon. Here is a link to the Revell-Monogram site.

LOL, I've been picking up small bottles of metallic paint. Silver with the specs and very dark silver/grey with the specs... (Model Masters enamels) and experimenting with the this many parts of this to this many parts of that to come up with Tungsten Grey. Will have to pick up a color chart for 2006's from my Ford guy this week (if he has them... has NOT had 'em to this point).

I wonder if it has the parts or option to make it a V6 in the kit. If not I'm going to have to be a little orginal in modding the kit to look like my car.

Always happens that way they never realease a kit that fits my car. :bang:

Here is a hint-helpful I hope!

If you are using an airbrush to paint your models, you can prime the body parts with Krylon sandable gray primer and wetsand/prep the surface then apply finish coats of Ford's touchup paint mixed 50/50 with lacquer reducer/thinner to duplicate your cars color. Finish up with clear lacquer to the desired depth.

The Krylon primer (when applied properly in light coats) does not attack and "craze" styrene plastics and sets up a barrier between the plastic and the lacquer.

I will shoot pics of some models (Mustangs of course) that I have used this on and post hopefully tonight.
