The guy that is doing it is finishing it up. I should be receiving it around January 10th 2007. He started with a regular diecast and remolded it to look like my car. He gave me a discount ,because my car is going to be in two up-coming Magazines photo shoots. One is a five page feature in Mustang Enthusiast and the editer for 5.0 is shooting it also.

Yes, the grill is having to be re-done before I finish the payment, But he does great work , look closely at the rest of the model. Remember I have custom one off parts on my car. for instance the side window scoopes are not cervinis, I cut and remolded the Blow-By Racing side scoopes myself with help from a good friend. I know how difficult it is to mold parts and I can't even imagine doing it in this size scale. Alot of the stuff on this model ,he made his self. It may not be perfect, but it isn't a factory diecast that someone can just go out and buy. Just like my car ,it's custom.

Cool, so is he easy to work with on items that you aren't 100% pleased with? I know some people that do things like this get thier feelings hurt when you critique them.

Lee, you have NO IDEA how tempting this is for me to do. I am a DIECAST freak. I have 65 Ford related cars, all 1:18 in my office, and over 200 more at home, which are exotics. I think once I get my new wheels (Shelby CS67's) I may give Dave a call.

Hey guys i actually forgot my password to my old handle 1967eleanor

so i figured id make a new one

Anyway just an update on james car, his grille has been fixed and looks rather sweet if i may say so myself. Ill get some pics as soon as i can get my new camera up and running. Its gonna be hard to let this one go, I wouldn't mind keeping this oen for my personal collection.

Lee, your cars are in the mail, they should be getting to me hopefully next week, il let you know as soon as i get them. I cant wait to start on your car its gonna be one of my most challenging paint jobs yet.

2L8IWON: A huge part of building a correct diecast car that is true to the 1:1 is customer input. The more input and tips i get from you guys the better the car comes out, so i am always looking for constructive criticism. I like to get the customer involved as much as possible.
