Just wanted to pass this deal on to my buddies out there, I've been tempted to order this online for several months now, but I found this at my local Big Lots store yesterday:


You 'stang purists may hate me for this, but I had to violate my Mustang only collection rule and grabed one of these too I couldn't help it...the Supra was my dream car...just couldn't afford the real one back in '95. Yeah I know it's rice...but I actually liked "Fast and Furious" ....NAWZ!!!!!

Crap....and i already paid $20 for mine months ago ...oh well. It's still worth it even for 20.

 

and don't think of an import as rice just cuz its modded.... if its got a motor to back the body up then its cool.... (think of the Kid Rock song "cocky")

 

Thanks - I didn't mean to imply that the Supra was rice, but referring to the paint scheme, graphics, and decals as rice - If I had a real MkIV Supra, I would never subject it to that kind of 'look'.

BTW - There were other die-casts on sale, pretty much the stuff from Fast and Furious(Skylines, Elipses, etc.), the Saleen 'stang was the only muscle car I saw.

 

I went to 4 Big lots here in S California and not one had any Mustangs. lots of smokey & the bandit Trans Am's, Speed racers, Civics & Nissan Skylines. Did find a few Johnny Lightning - White Lightnings so the day wasn't a total bust.

 

I'm in SE Virginia - only saw 2 Saleens, but quite a few Skyline's. What scale were the Johnny Lightnings? After I found the Saleen, I didn't look anymore - figured I hit the jackpot . Did you see any Speed Racer Mach 5's? I only saw Racer X's car, which I already have.

 

The Johnny Lightnings are 1/64 scale. I am not real up on the speed racer cars so i am not sure which one they had.

 

I think that I might have to buy my one of those Saleens

 

I looked...all they had left was the supra and skyline

 

I went back to check out the Johnny Lightnings, found only one 'stang - a 1978 Cobra Mustang...not a big fan of the late 70's stangs, but a 'stang is a 'stang so it's in my collection now. Also grabbed '57 Chevy, and this Chevelle:
...not a bowtie fan either, but they look cool and for $1.99 a piece...how could I go wrong

Sorry to hear no one else is having luck finding the 1:18 Saleen's...I saw at least 3 left yesterday. I think that 1:18 Nissan Skyline is calling me....must resist urge :bang: :bang:

BTW...Did anyone see of these Ertl Speed Racer Mach 5's at their BigLots?

...I'm looking for one to go with my Racer X yellow Shooting Star. If anyone sees one and can't find a Saleen, perhaps we can workout some sort of trade...I'll grab a new Saleen at my store for ya.
