They replace the syncros and blocker rings. Only for the two gears though. Mine were replaced under warranty.

You love taking your $35k car to the racetrack, hang with cars costing 2-4 times as much, and more people are crowded around your car asking questions than any other car in the paddock!

Lol, every car has "character". Threads and threads abound in my old eclipse forum, celica forum, mustang forums, etc. Even for the 11+'s....

As others have said, even after thinking of other cars to maybe replace her, I still look at her as I'm walking away. Still take pics of her. Still get a maniacal grin when I have the hammer down in the beginning of 2nd and I'm getting mashed into my seat because of the torque. Still love to hear her engine sing and growl as I"m winding her up. Because her behind is still the best of this generation. Because I can mod in almost anything any later mustang has if I want to. Because the smiles come more often than the frowns
She's still my baby.

It's TSB 09-19-17

10/05/09

4.6L WITH TR3650 MANUAL TRANSMISSION - CLASH OR RASPY FEEL-SHIFTING INTO 2ND AND/OR 3RD GEAR

Then it says replace syncros and blocker rings.

That's what I thought. Since mine is a 2013 and a 5.0 that TSB wouldn't apply.

My 2008 had the same problem, so if it still happens on a model 5 years newer, it's just part of owning an S197!

You had to replace the hand brake because one cable snapped.

Never thought of the upside down fuel pump I will have to try that😉

I think this refers to Mustangs with the dealer-installed-optional fuel-cutoff alarm. It's a reset button located on the Driver's side kick-panel.

It is a cut off switch for the fuel in case of impact or collision with another vehicle. And if you car won't start it's a good place to check first.

And it's a factory installed device.

Damnn, I guess I shouldn't feel too bad about the clean right axle tube. I've owned my car since new and it has 85k miles on it now. Only problems I've had is an annoying clunking sound from the rearend. As for comparing our cars to the new 2011+ models, consumer reports rates the 05-10 Mustangs as much more reliable than the 2011+ models.

Oh yeah, my A/C just started behaving funny. Only cold air coming out of the passenger side dash vents. Warm air coming out of the driver side vents.

Your drivers side seat split on the side seam at the top...The Red leather seats haven't held up that well over the years.

Anyways, I love my 2006...only problem I've had with it is eating batteries (think I'm on the third one) and I had to replace my passenger side rear caliper because it was hanging and eating up the brake pad and disk.

I've been in three accidents with it (two not my fault) and the first one was pretty major after only owning the car a year and doing 15K worth of damage to it. The other two is where I got rear ended by people not paying attention.

I have almost 120K on her and she still runs good...Much better then my SVT Focus I had prior to it. Heck my 2013 SHO had to go back to the dealership for a bad fuel tank sending unit. My Mustang never went to the dealership, besides to have the plugs changed out at 90K
