I am two point five seconds from cancelling my slot in Atlanta. I am four seconds from just rolling over and giving up on it.
Here is my getting screwed at the car dealer story:
Obviously until I get rid of the money pit or pay it off real quick- I am not getting a mustang. That or have a ton of negative equity and get poked again, which I have no problem with if something cool came along. So I am dumping every cent into it for trade in this March. Big deal. Everyone knows that I want to order on my bday and have it for springtime.
I thought I had a car dealer picked out. I seriously despised the salesman there(ugh I just got creepy vibes from him from the first time) but whatever, good price.
Last week my darling husband went to look at an 04 vert and we met a very cool new salesman there. Hubby is at work now, and not a good secretary before. Since its a school holiday, I decided to sleep in today. The very cool salesman called. Hubby did not get message, and he has the cool salesmans card. So I called the snake. He said, yes we have one, people are looking at it, if you can tell me when you will be here, we will take it out and talk. Its got every whistle in the order book btw- and is 26k. So I get the kids dressed, rush through my work, and drive the 22 miles to this dealer.
I get there, and he makes up every BS excuse in the WORLD to keep me out of it. Oh you can't- whatever. Then he says, no we can't drive it today. No one can......as the danged thing pulls out with the sales manager and some stupid teen kid whose parents are looking at it.
That donkey just lost a sale. I am livid.
The idiot salesman knows my story, knows what and when I will be buying, so what is his problem? Why drag me with two kids who hate car lots up there to investigate only to screw me over once I get there?Then hes like- your car will never be accepted as trade at our dealer. (Its in perfect condition, brand new everything, but has 140k miles) I hope he catches a cold. Coulda told me that before!
So with that said, I am just so ticked, that I am almost ready to throw in the towel.
I do believe in Karma,what comes around dang well better go around back to him.

I have just learned there are TWO car dealers I want to have a going out of business sale- Look on page two. So much for calling when they arrived

I am very sorry I do fell your pain. BELIEVE ME.... I am very stuck in a Chebby s10 that I owe 15000.00 on and you know what the kicker is, because I know you say well heck they stuck it to ya on a new s10. but here it is are you ready,,,, this is a 63 month lease that runs till this coming june 1st. Believe that for pain. I am paying for a brand new 98 mustang gt that I had for 3 months and got a new job so needed 2 vehicles in the family not 1, so I trade and take the neg. equity for the stang. then I get a useless Chebby blazer, now I am here paying for a 98 stang, 96 chebby blazer and a 2000 S10. I want the stang probably as much and or more than you do. Probably not possible as much as you we are probably in the same boat. But on May 1st as soon as I send that last payment to Chebby for my lease I will be taking that Thursday off and picking up my new beauty then I'm off on my first roadtrip that is not limited to milage to Biloxi. I have just a little over 7 months now and I'm counting everyday.

Eleanor, follow your dreams. Don't let some jerk salesman dissaude you from getting the car you want. There are other dealers out there...you just may have to drive a bit further.

In any case, after getting through all that BS this morning, I moped, got mad, and went to town and country ford.
Shes coming home As soon as I deliver the down payment. For this second I have picked out a silver v6 without IUP.

yea yea soap opera- hardehar. That jackass is lucky I didn't kick him. He can take his silver gt and stick it. I cant wait to drive my car there, and tell him what level of hades he can go to. I didn't give that jerk hubbys $$$$, just mine and I lowballed that. I hate him. BTW his name is Kevin Rima and he works for Long Lewis. NEVER do business there, I knew there was a kick to the one low price no haggle. I hope he catches super crabs now. Condescending gold chain wearing slimy no good lizard.
So as I was saying,after moping about the house, I went up to Town and Country. I parked RIGHT NEXT to the silver v6. Salesman came out- I said Get the keys. We went out. I peeled rubber turning out of the dealer, acceleration in it kicks. We got on 1-59 south, I made it up to 100. It was supersweet. Got back, the windveil GT made it back, salesmen were joyriding, they made the clutch smell. It was pretty, but not my cup of tea, I don't like the windveil.
So I did all the paperwork, got it settled, I take delivery on my bday or maybe a little before(I need 3k no problem mon). I didn't think I would be driving it home, because the fund is empty. But it will soon be full. Soon as I drop off the check Eleanor is mine. This salesman was SUPER SUPER cool, I absolutely enjoyed it.
This is a silver v6 auto(i know!) with Black stripe, and DC leather. LOVE IT. Town and country was getting them in like someone stepped on an ant bed- they got in 5 while I was there. I looked at the torch red, didn't like it. The cloth seats are very ugly. Because I now have to have help to buy from hubby, and he loves silver, silver she is. with charcoal leather and black stripe like Donna's.
