IVe been looking at some side pics of everyones 05 and IVe come to the conclusion that the S197 needs more nose. take a S197 and a vintage, and youll see what I mean.

longer wheel base would have helped that alot

anybody know if the longer wheel base would hurt performance ?

 

the S197 is already longer then the SN-95, what was it, 6 inches?

 

Post a '65-'68 next to the '05, the '69 and '70 had "extended" noses.

The '69-'70's were a progression of the '68 Shelby nose which was "extended" and also the Mach 1 show car of '68.

The '69-'70 had the same wheelbase as the '65-'68's, they were only longer because of their nose.

 

1969 wheelbase= 108 inches
2005 wheelbase= 107.1 inches

 

for some reason to me it looks like in that pic that the 05 has a much shorter wheelbase but i guess not if its only an inch difference
