Just telephone 1-800-348-7709 and if you are authorized, they will give you your PIN. This is a Ford number just for the ADXZ plans.
As soon as I find the new Mustang I want, I will phone them again to get my latest X-Plan PIN. Purchased my MKZ with the X-Plan and because I can purchase two cars a year, (but with a different PIN), will call them again, even if I call from the dealers showroom, as it only takes five or ten minutes to get the PIN.

I looked into X-plan when I bought my Mustang GT. (I have a few friends that qualify for x-plan) It's not that good. I forgot what it was, but it was like, 4% over invoice. The point is that you can negotiate a better deal than X-plan. Also, the dealer is not required to honour X-plan, so you're not going to be able to use it for your GT500.

The X-plan includes "friends and non-immediate family", pretty much anybody. There is also an A-plan which is for employees, retirees and immediate family members. My dad was retired Ford (Dallas assembly plant) and I've bought on the A-plan several times. He passed away Nov 05 right as I ordered my 06GT. When he went, so went the A-plan for me. The difference between A and X is pretty small but I think the A would be a few 100 less. Coulda bought any of the Ford family (Lincoln, Jaguar, Volvo...) on the A-plan. Never did, and now I never will. I haven't looked into it but I think there's many places to get an X-plan # to buy on (I know I can get one through the EAA which I recently joined). I think you usually get the factory rebates and incentives when buying on a "plan", but usually not the dealer incentives. As far as the A-plan went, buying new/used or Ford/nonFord was a no-brainer. Had an 02Expy and traded it for an 03Expy going from a 5% to a 0% loan and the payments went down a little (started paying the 60 months over again tho). It was very pleasant to buy on the A-plan. I'd do my homework picking out just what I wanted, and with the advent of Ford.com and the dealers posting their inventory on-line, I'd know what was available before I walked in the door. Give 'em my a-plan number and they'd give me the price. Just my speed, brainless and painless. The dealer/salesman always seemed happy/eager to sell a car on the A-plan, so I'm not sure how that sale was a "win" for them. Do you x-plan buyers have good experiences buying? I'll be in that crowd the next time I buy.

When I finally go to get mine, I might have to look into that a little more. 4% isnt much, but hey, its more money saved that I can put into some mods.
When I purchased with the X-Plan, what a pleasure it was. Dealer showed me the invoice with "X-Plan" price listed, right there. Dealer not allowed to charge you any extras other than TTT. If you are going to buy without a trade, it is the best, as there is none of the going back and forth between manager and you. The price is the price is the price.
If you have a trade, you can still get screwed.
Even with all the above, my purchasing dealer tried to make a few extra bucks. Wanted $180 for the DMV and would refund whatever was left back to me. When I did not hear from dealer after the Title arrived, (ten days later), I contacted DMV to find out what everything at DMV cost. I then emailed dealer telling him "I know you forgot to send me my refund from the DMV Fees". Dealer phoned me the very next day and said that the check went out that very morning. I did receive the check a day or two later. Hey, they tried.

I bought my Stang and my wife's Expedition this spring with X-plan. Totally painless. I didn't trade anything with the Stang, but I did trade a car when I got the Expedition. Knowing what they're making on the deal helps in the negotiations. For reference, the dealer's commission on x-plan is the difference between the A and X prices, which can be quite a few bucks. Don't believe their line that they're not making anything. They're making plenty. Depending on how long they've had the car on their floorplan, they might be making a few bucks on holdback as well. I knew they only had the Expedition for less than a week when I bought it, so I reminded them they were going to get to keep ALL of their holdback in addition to their commission for the x-plan sale. When all was said and done I got more than book value for my trade. My suggestion for most would be to refrain from sharing that you have x-plan until after you negotiate your trade. That way they can't lowball you. In my case they already knew I was x since I had just bought the Stang 3 months earlier.
I think according to Xplan rules you are supposed to announce you plan to use it right away before discussing the purchase.
