Wrecked at VIR
#24
Pretty good that everything's gone OK so far...best of luck with the remaining repair work.
Needless to say I couldn't make it to the track, but thanks for posting to let us know before the event. Are you planning on attending any of the Grand Am events next year @ VIR?

This is my story:
VIR holiday laps, local Mustang Club traveled up to VIR for some laps around the track. 2nd session, I spun and put the Mustang into a tire wall. I came out without a scratch. But I had the Mustang towed to my local Ford dealership. No pictures, I don't want the memory of a wrecked Mustang. But it will need a lot of work, but it is not totalled. Front Bumper smashed, Hood buckled, Drivers side crunched all the way back. Rear bumper cover crunched. Lots of black tire marks on the side and hood. The steering is broken, tie rods and steering rack.
The Ford Body shop said that the insurance adjuster will stop within 24 hours. I asked about a GT-500 conversion, he said that with Ford OEM part numbers he could make it happen. Just pay the difference in the parts. Install and paint should be the same. I said I would get back to him on that. Insurance did not say that they would exclude the claim, but I am still being careful with my words, but I have been completely upfront about how it occurred.
So one Mustang is in the hospital for awhile.

Well I wouldn't worry about posting the pics as I think I can assume this is you. Look at post 48. A bit hot through 5 and 6. Not rubbing salt in the wounds. I just thought your should know. Sorry for your loss.

Reverend, sounds like your insurance company will take care of matters...however, I'm sure there will be a definite hike in your insurance premium and they may decide to drop you after any future claims.
