Wreck Photos

I went to the bodyshop today and got some pictures of the 'stang.

Everything will be replaced with Ford OEM stuff. Unfortunately, they don't do any custom work, so no stripes.

If I get a new rear wing, they'll paint it for me, but I have to install it. Same with window louvers and bodyside scoops.

BUT... if the GT/CS front bumper is a direct replacement, they'll use that instead of the stock one. And they'll install a Shelby hood instead of the stock one, provided I cover the difference in cost.

Just as a reference, this is the hood and front bumper combination I'm wanting:

Tomorrow, they tear down the car and do the estimate.

Ouch...those pictures are painful to look at.

Good Luck with your repairs.

That will buff right out...... As long as the parts are availible and pay the difference that will be cool. Send some pix when it's done.

Dude I know you feel sad about this but you're car will make it and be even better. Cheer up man
It must really stink. You barely bought the car (I saw your thread) and now it's wrecked.

How'd you like the smell of that airbag after it went off? Nasty, isn't it?

That doesn't look too bad, not nearly as bad as mine did. I might've still been doing 25-30 when I hit, with all the damage it sustained.

Hopefully you can get her back all better soon, and fixed up the way you want her.

My GF liked the fact it was pink. She likes almost anything pink though. I told her NO to painting my new Mustang pink though.

At least its mostly only cosmetic damage, hopefully at least. Have you looked at the frame?

Honestly, it doesn't look as bad as I expected it to be. Assuming there's no 'frame' damage, she'll be good as new and you'll never notice the difference.

I talked to the bodyshop manager and he doesnt' think there's any subframe damage. They'll get the car on an alignment rack today to verify this. If that's the case, it's simply going to be "remove and replace" to repair everything. Getting the paint right will be the toughest part of the repair.

I'm real sorry to hear about your car, but at least all the damaged panels will be replaced vs. repaired. Hopefully the paint won't be too bad to match, since the car is new. Seeing pics of all the wrecked cars on this site is starting to make me think twice about getting another one.

Good luck with the repairs!

this reminds me of the accident i was in.

basically the same areas of damage just worse, but with no frame damage. it doesnt appear the damage to be to far back, mine was to the radiator. so i ordered PWR's aftermarket one just for the hell of it and for down the line. then just put the parts back on.

it wont change anything if ur ok, mine runs like new and with a free strut bar even better!!
