not a bad deal, but I never liked the fox body's much, especially not the early ones. Sometimes I prefer to mentally block out the years between 75-88.
I miss my 85!!
$14,500? They are nutz. That's more than the car sold for when brand new.
All that for a carbureted 150hp 302 and that crappy Borg Warner T5 transmission.
Nice car, but they are asking for the moon. Good luck.

HOWEVER.....
Have you ever driven one? It actually rated out at 175HP, and felt alot stronger than that. My best friend's parents had a new one that we tooled around Stone Mountain (Atlanta, GA) back in the day. Compared to todays Mustang, they do look different, but back then.... WHEW! Just my .02

The real question is what was the torque curve on that old pushrod 8? I seem to recall they had terrific torque at lower RPM's. That's where the "fun-to-drive" for them came from.
The owners of each generation hold their Mustang in the highest regard (and rightfully so). Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Sorry.. Forgot to mention that I had an 83 Mustang GL with t-tops. Mine only had the 2.3, but I still liked it. I now have an 07 GT vert, and each one is beautiful in its own way...

I just can't get my head around calling them an "elder car".
I don't hate them. I just didn't want to see one sitting in my driveway.
