while on the subject of cutoffs and such, anyone know the diameter size of the GT's exhaust pipes? need to know so i order the right size cutoff's

 

I have a brand new set of the 2.5" Flowtech Y-pipes still in a box my garage... I never used them. I couldn't find a good spot to fit them in my exhaust, so I had the custom pipes welded up.

And the valves I used were #815-EC250D from Jegs: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_757985_-1

That's why I have the cutouts now... I can control when it is LOUD!

just 1 question, any worries i should have of the wiring melting under the heat of the exhaust? any precautions i should take like insulation? can never be too careful

I haven't had any problems with them at all. Just make sure you get them up high enough so they aren't going to drag on speed bumps, etc. That would be a quick way to ruin them. Here's some pics of how mine are installed.
