Just curious how many here would (or would not) leave their Mustang at the long-term parking lot while on a business trip or vacation?

Personally, I am lowering myself to driving my wife's Buick LeSabre because I have to be gone a few days. But to me it's better than taking a chance on vandalism or theft.

Your thoughts?

I left mine at the airport for a couple of days. Long term parking, far away from other cars. No issues. But I think its just luck. I take the Metro Train to work here in Miami, and I do not take the Stang to the parking lot. I drive my beater explorer.

.02 cents

No. F-----g. Way.

It is a convertible. Even if it was a coupe, I wouldn't. Would rather take a cab to the airport then have to worry about if my car was ok the whole time I was gone.

Easier still I just get friends/family to take me. But I'd never leave my Mustang in long term parking.

Tw0scoops took the words right out of my mouth. I'd sooner take a cab to the airport or use stuper shuttle...

Not a chance! That's called Chevy 2500 HD duty. It sits outside all the time anyway, has a Viper alarm on it, and it's raised up high enough to avoid door hits.

I also drive the truck on the few days here in the SW when rain is in the forecast. Actually - that was my wife's idea (she really likes the Mustang).

I'm with the "No!" crowd.

I have my wife and friends drop me off and pick me up.

I'd have to agree. For all the time and money spent keeping your car perfect, what's a cab ride?

I hate leaving mine in the parking lot when I run into a corner store, so there is no way I would leave mine at an airport.

I'd take it there to drive it down a runway! :drive:

Didn't one of the car mags do a comparo between a Mustang GT, a GTO, a 'Vette, and an F-18 about a year ago?

I would not do it, if I were you. Even thought airport lots have 24 hour security, it's just not worth the risk IMO. Pay the extra cash and get a taxi there... or ask a friend to drop you off.

Never! That's why I kept my old car so I could drive it places I wouldn't take the Mustang - like the airport.
