Woohoo! Shipped via Convoy
#8
Mine also has a Convoy carrier status, it has been on that status since Dec 6th, found out from carrier that it is waiting to be hauled to the dealer. Sch. delivery Dec 16th.
Just remember, when your car is listed as being "Sch Convoy Carrier", it could be in route to your dealer, or sitting in their yard waiting to be shipped with a load. That is why you get like a week or two Del. date. Hope this helps you all. Looks like Christmas may come early for us............

Congrats Brownie!
I'm bummed - mine was supposed to arrive at the dealer in the next few days and I was going to pick it up Saturday. Just found out yesterday the train encountered some kind of delay (snow?) and the timetable just got screwed - won't even get to the center to be loaded on to the truck till Saturday or so... so looking at next week sometime midweek... not a 'local' dealer too so my brother and I have to figure out how to swing this pre-Xmas after already having out final vacation days locked in....
Waaahhh!!!
I want my GT!!!

wbrownie, that is what I ment shipped convoy carrier, sorry.
Mine has been in that status since Dec 6th. Found out this morning from the carrier that it is just waiting for a full load of cars to make it little journey from there pickup yard at the reginal railhead to the dealer.
I just posted above to let you know that shipped convoy carrier could mean it on its way to your dealer, or is waiting for a full load so it can be shipped to your dealer. Just some extra help on this portion of our wait.............

We all need a little support. One good note may be that my original ETA was Dec. 20th, now it is Dec. 16th. So there is a good chance yours could come early. I guess there are lots of variables, such as how many cars and trucks are being shipped to your local dealers. I think that plays a big part in your delivery day, at least it has for me. But the end of the wait is near for a lot of us, we have paid our TIME dues, so to speak.

Once a car has been released from the factory, how are some guys tracking it through the companies that are shipping them by train and then hauller? How do I find out what company is shipping it?

Well, I tracked my car via the convoy carrier company that ships to my area, it is Allied Automotive Group. It has some 3000 trucks nationwide. The website below it what I found on the net and it is for public and dealer use. You can either use a toll free number or request a track via email, just register with them its free!. I emailed them yesterday and this morning got an email back from them. It is worth a try for some of you, as long as they are indeed the company that ships in your area. Good luck
